doesn't seem to be 20.72 in checkout?

I loaded the $20.72 gift cards onto my account and went to look at my account later and there is now a $0 gift card balance and a long line of entries in my account that say:

October 27, 2023 Balance withheld -$20.72

I then decided to try and load a card I was going to use as a Christmas gift and I get this message:

The gift card has been deactivated.

What the heck is Amazon doing? This is a giant mess. They deactivated all of my cards but haven't refunded my purchase price.

Got in on the Darden ones, but missed this. Congrats to those who got in. I hope they all ship. I have my doubts, but I guess the very worst thing that can happen is you end up with what you actually paid in Amazon gift cards, which are kind of like cash anyway.
