Everyone criticized this deal because is 2 years contract and no other benefits, I agree essential plan is basic not ideal but is definitely better then a deal from att and Verizon, also those who recommend mint and red pocket type carries I just feel...........

Just did this deal. XR did not work but SE3 from walmart did. Went and bought 3 for $149 each and will sell my XRs for $140 each. Great deal

Got waived fees with Costco and $150 in Costco cards too. They did ask for my Costco number.

This is the 'Simple Choice' gathering thread 😀.

Been on it myself forever it feels, but the International Data keeps me in. Use it 1-2x a year, but its been a lifesaver.

Still Rocking on my 5 lines cricket $100
Surprising! I had that grandfathered plan for more than 5 years. Last summer (2022) they ended it, at least I thought they ended it for everyone and had to go to the higher level. How did you manage to continue on? Just curious.

Costco does not charge activation fees?
Yes. I'm assuming this deal will be available in Costco, as they are using Tmo Corporate Reps there and not 3rd party like before.

Unfortunately, this also means each Costco has different carriers. Some have ATT, others, Verizon and some Tmo.

Those iPhone SE 3 sold at Walmart $150 is locked to a provider. Does T mobile still accept it as a trade?

Can you elaborate on how you'd pay with that credit card using auto pay and not get charged $5 more? I'm not understanding how your way would avoid the extra charge.
Sounds like it is sign up for autopay with a bank account but pay manually with a cc.

Don't they check the imei before accepting the trade. I've try inputting my iPhone 13 that I still have 2 payment left with Xfinity and Tmobile would not accept it. It error out when trying to put Imei field in.

How does the essential plan compare to simple choice?

I have simple choice plan with 3 phone lines and 1 data only line and it's $100 plus fees.

I really need another phone line and don't need the data line. So it sounds like the essential plan will be roughly same price, but I'll have 4 phone lines.

I'm a loosing anything going from simple choice to essential plan?
You might wait till black Friday and see if they offer a free line. Almost every black Friday, except last year, I have added a line for "free" (you pay taxes) bringing my total to six lines for 100 dollars plus tax. I'm in the simple choice plan

I don't believe T-Mobile (or any carrier) checks, they only look for functionality & visible damage
