Good deal, but this is the phone that France recently banned. Apple claims a software update will fix the problem. We'll see.
Macron is worrying about an app crashing?

You'll be eligible for an upgrade discount only after 9 months of continuous service with Boost.

A little more than an app crashing. You might find this story interesting: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/scien...ealth.html

Do you mean delay activating the $60 plan and use it later?

When you order, under porting choose "Yes" even if you aren't porting. You don't have to actually port; you can still choose a new number when you activate. If you choose "no" they will automatically activate the line with a new # in a few days.

When you do activate it, you can just choose a new number. Make sure to turn off autopay immediately (unless you want to keep the plan) or you'll get dinged another $60 for another month.

I have no idea how long you have to activate, but I have done it with Boost sims older than 6 months. I ordered some phones in January under a similar promotion which required a $40 plan, and I was able to still able to activate and use the month more than 6 months later. I can't guarantee anything, though.

You can turn off the auto renewal right away. What you want to do is keep your original $25.00 plan on the sim card that you already have because if you port your number to the $60.00 plan on the new sim card you won't be able to switch back. When you order the phone, just have them choose the number for the new sim card, turn off auto renewal and simply put your original sim card in the phone.
I just turned off auto renewal as you suggested. Do I still need to call to cancel?

I still see Rsim listed on ebay.
Rsim are known not to work on Boost phones. I'd be curious to know if anyone has ever gotten Boost phones to work. I already have an rsim.
