For some reason I think we have to use the sim that came with the phone in order to get the unlock going. But there is no way I'm going to pay $60 every month...so your method is risky but worth it.

Yes I activated with the $15 3-month plan. After 3 months it renews for $45 for another 3 months. Fingers crossed it satisfies the unlock requirement. Good luck to us! 🤞

I currently have a previous iPhone 12 deal using the 15 monthly plan

Have you used the boost coins app? I basically get free service. Highly doubt I could reach $45 in 3 months though

Yes, I have only done the spin game and I am almost near the end of my 1st 3-month plan and have about $25 credit. Pretty happy about that.

No you can't stack add'l 3-month promo plans on the existing line.

so I got my iPhone 12 delivered on Friday.
I didn't open it up since I also bought a $15 3 month boost sim via Walmart and that just got delivered today.

I checked my emails and I received an email from Boost mobile on Nov 8th saying:
You've successfully activated your service!

I personally did not do anything. I am assuming boost activated the $60 card on their own? So this $15 3 month sim from Walmart will not work since I wanted to start the unlock timer with the $15 card.

the reason this happened is that you must have selected "New number" vs Port-in. New number will auto activate a few days after the phone is shipped out. At this point, you can just activate the 3-month plan and use the phone with that service and continue it for the full 12 months if you plan is to get it unlocked. You may need to contact Boost CS in 12 months to verify the phone usage for that duration. Since you already have an activated Unltd pla for 1 month, might as well just get some use out of it and test out the service.

FYI even for existing customer you can upgrade this for $149 from time to time this become available then become umavailable yesterday i was able to placed order & I don't mind staying 12 months in boost then if theres a good deal from different carrier example if they are giving free good Iphone or Samung galaxy etc. for new customer I'll just get new number to avail their promo,..by the way I switch to boost just 2mos ago when I got the 3 mos 5GB/mo for $15 then after 3 mos it will be $15/mo which 5GB is more than enoigh for me coz mostly I used Wifi.

Use the boostcoin app daily to try to get $15 in free service monthly since you're going to be on that plan
