Just picked this up at my local HF. Seemed like a great deal. I bought the green to save $90. Speaking to an employee, they are phasing out the Series 2 for the Series 3. The same dimensional bottom cabinet is going to sell for around $899.

While very YMMV its still a good deal if you can locate a box (the Green color is especially hard to find) just tweaking your info a bit - The series 3 does not offer that same size toolbox it has either 56" - $899 or 72" - $1,799/$1,899 can't remember which. Maybe eventually it will get 44" I'm not sure. Didn't want anyone trying to locate a 44" series 3 and wasting their/or the HF employees time because from what it took me to get my series 3 box - I went through a lot of employees that HF as a company did not educate on the first wave of U.S General Series 3 boxes. Maybe it was bad communication between USG and HF but I feel for those guys. They had no clue on whether or not they could be pre-ordered or ship dates or how to EVEN find any of that information in their system. I got lucky finding one that did. Anways great deal and sorry for vomiting a whole lot of words for people to read. My bad. Cheers

I picked up a blue for $340 yesterday ($399 - 15% inside track). Only 44" Series 2 I could find with in 100 miles of Chicago. The site would say in stock, I'd call and nothing was there. The fork lift guy said it was the last series 2 in a box left at their store. The person who checked me out said I could order a 44" inch series 3, but it was 6-8 weeks out. She was very confident in her delivery of that info. I didn't ask about price, sorry.

I was seeing orange for $299 "in stock" and I was originally hoping for one of those, as that plus 15% off inside track would have been $255. Worth calling around, YMMV for sure.
