"In the 1st year of the warranty, panel, parts and labor costs are covered. In the 2nd-5th year of the warranty, only panels are covered, and labor will be charged." From LG website.

Please explain.

Edit: Just read that the 83" doesn't feature the MLA technology introduced on the other sizes. What a shame.

Except s90c sucks at everything else. Poor motion handling and upsampling, software/OS, quality assurance and build quality, sound, fragility, only 1 year warranty, and no dolby vision.

...think I'll get a G3.
K spend 4 figures more LG fanboy Smilie

Instead anyone with a pulse would take s90c + waived 2 year extra warranty + Apple TV + AVR 5:1 system for the same price as just a G3

I mean who buys these TV's and doesn't use an AVR? That's like buying a Ferrari and using regular unleaded gas in it.

Also, go look at the S90C reviews at Best Buy and other retailers and look how many people are returning them due to quality control issues or them dying within a month. You don't see that as often for the LG C3/G3 reviews. The S90C is so much cheaper for a reason. You get what you pay for.

OK people! I watched every single review video both technical and opinion, and read every single article I could find, and the G3 was the clear winner for the best TV. That's why I purchased one three months ago and I don't regret it at all. Go ahead spend about 100 hours like I did, and do the same thing you will come up with the same result. The G3 wins.

Thank you, I just ordered 77" one! This is gonna be the most expensive TV I ever had, but I need one as bright as possible cause it's in the very bright room with big windows... Brightenss was only thing stopped me from getting an OLED...
Does anyone know of a swivel TV stand with shelves. I'm renting so and not allowed to drill walls. But I also need TV to be above the stand so I can fit central speaker under it. I currently have a great stand (it's type with central "backbone" beam and several open "floating" tempered glass shelves) but it tops out at 70" and I couldn't find one that will support 77" TV

I've had 77" LG G3 for a couple of months now....Absolutely blown away by it every day. My first LG. Was reluctant to buy since I've always had Samsung / Sony. Made the best decision! Just make sure as soon as you turn it on, you turn off "eco mode" and immediately change viewing mode to "filmmaker" or "expert" from torching "standard".

Also, anyone who buys these TVs and using internal TV speakers or even a soundbar is missing out tremendously on movie theater experience. Just get a solid AVR (at least 5.1.2+), and don't ever use TV speakers again, and enjoy full potential. I personally run it with 7.1.4 setup. Will likely expand to 7.2.4 soon.

I got a S90C for now, but what sucks is I have good meters for calibrating tvs, but not good enough for an accurate one for qd oled. So to really get it right I have to pay someone $525. sigh. RTrying to be sure I keep it.

What's weir, though, is so far I still prefer my original samsung oled from 2015 called the S9C because the colors on that one look sooooo soothing. But I did calibrate that one myself, so I am comparing a calibrated tv with a noncalibrated.

I also think it's VERY annoying that the S90C doesn't have dolby vision or dts, though. Ridiculous and pathetic of them. I wonder if the tvs are capable of it if samsung ever decides to stop being cheapskates and pays the licensing.

edit: as far as processing, I tried a sony a90k and it definitely seemed more amazing to me on sub-4k content. Probably the lg would also. But some calibrator told me they're still close enough to not notice the difference if calibrated.
Samsung hasn't put Dolby Vision on their TVs for years and likely won't. They have been pushing their own HDR tech. I bought a Sony in 2018 since this is the Single main reason why I haven't and won't purchase a Samsung TV.

Not sure on that style (maybe check Sanus) but I use a couple of these table top stands on top of AV cabinets with drawers and component locations. They handle the weight fine and I've had no issues with them:

No DV and crappy quality and support are good enough reasons to avoid Samsung TV's.

Shame the non-Samsung QD-OLEDS are so expensive though but eventually the price will come down since they sell the screens to other manufacturers like Sony.

Until then if I really needed a TV I'd grab a WOLED from LG or Sony since they work and are relatively trouble free. The advantages of QD-OLED aren't enough to make me want to deal with Samsung and not have DV.

Plus it's not like you are really slumming it with MLA WOLED panels. They are fantastic.

I posted a deal on a 77 s90c and impulsively ordered it cause it was so cheap 1899.
I later went to Bestbuy multi times before picking up my order. Read endless reviews and came to the conclusion that it's cheap for a reason. The Samsung is garbage. Canceled it and ordered the LG G3 65. A smaller but better set.

I've been arguing with people on that forum for days, so its refreshing to come here and see like minded people.

I guess they take the 370 off later and not give GCs. Last time I bought a TV they refunded me back that GC amount.

also you get the 4 year CPS warranty which is a bonus.
I did not like my experience with CPS. They assigned some shit repair shop. My issue was that my LG OLEDOLED65C8PUA had a green tint in the center of the screen. I was asked for pictures of my screen, and I sent quite a few. Then I waited...and waited...and waited. This went on for weeks. No one ever actually laid eyes on the TV. They just said that it was burn-in and that to repair it would be more than the cost of a new one. My TV was $2,300 when I bought it. Fortunately, through a slick deal, I ended up paying $1,800 plus whatever the warranty cost me. They offered me $1,000...take it or leave it.

Sorry if this was mentioned tried to look through the comments but couldn't find it. Does anyone have experience with CPS warranty? Sounds promising as there's burn in coverage. Recall that AllState/Squaretrade does not cover burn in.

The Fitueyes stand is one of the stands I found during my own search. Seems similar to what you described, but doesn't have a single backbone.

I ended up with the Sanus VSTV2, but it is just a stand and doesn't have any shelves.
