Edit: Just read that the 83" doesn't feature the MLA technology introduced on the other sizes. What a shame.

That's all true - I was comparing price for those where you can get it tax free straight from the retailer. The 1 year manufacturer warranty is also probably enough, especially since the G3 comes with an additional 4 year manufacturer panel warranty. That's what I went with myself.
