Great little vacuum for spot cleaning. I got one from (Walmart, I believe) a few years ago for around $60. Does a great job in the kitchen and the back hall. For the rest of the place, I rely on the Miele.

Have you tried it on carpet/rugs? I need a new vac that is light and maneuverable for stairs, but I don't want 2 vacuums. If this can do carpet good, I would buy it.

Reading some reviews, a lot of people are saying stuff like this:

"This vacuum is extremely top heavy, very dangerous if accidentally left and not completely secured, if a sudden emergent situation occured and one had to leave the vacuum in a hurry to tend to a possible crisis. Not good for parents with young children or pet owners as this would fall and injure the animal or child severely as the top (motor) part of the unit is very heavy and the bottom was not sufficiently balanced in weight to keep it from falling over. IT WILL NOT STAND ON ITS' OWN - it mu..."

And one more:

"However, on the con side, the vacuum is very top heavy and not ergonomically designed. It will not stand up by itself, so if you need to stop for any reason, you have to either lean it against something or lay it down on the floor. Also, because it is so top heavy, it puts a lot of strain on your wrist and hand as you vacuum, which could be an issue with people with wrist or hand problems."

Personally, based on those reviews, I think I'd pass because any gain with this vacuum would be offset by how unwieldy it is. I would be very annoyed have to carefully lean it up against something every time I stop hoping it doesn't go crashing down to the floor or on a kid's head, or to have to set it all the way down on the floor. Also, if you look at the pictures, it appears this vacuum can't be stored without the wall attachment that you have to drill into your wall (not usually a big deal, but kind of silly to have to do that to store a vacuum).
