My friend that works at monoprice told me about this deal and has confirmed that most of the subs on this sale are in fact new items. Monoprice are simply trying to meet sale quotas before the end of year. That explains why so many in stock!

I wish they would sell out so I could stop considering these.

As someone whose Monolith 12 v2 amp died after 15 months and is currently going through an RMA process, I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole. If it had the full 5 year warranty, it would be tempting.

it might come to 3800, 4800 since storm exclusivity expired. but separately license will be expensive (require dlbc like you said). maybe even pc standalone. but so far only rumours. really hoping it's true. Will have to wait for ces, etc.
That would be awesome since I went with the 3800 from those two(use as pre pro)!
They would be giving it away if they did that though.
Seems more like they might offer it on the 6800 which is getting released early 2024. Might be why they dragged their feet to release it.
Even that's a long shot but if that happens, the 6800 would be very very popular.
Get the same RC that's offered on SA for $3500 would be crazy!

For someone that has had a lot of bad experiences with Monolith subs. I'd highly recommend avoiding. Price is "to good to be true" type vibe. They perform very well. But quality is very iffy. It's even more iffy buying open box. Just my .2 cents.

I too have had amp problems with my 15" Monolith. Never had any issues with my SVS with way more use. Wouldn't touch Monoprice subs again, especially when their RMA process (and CS) is so bad.

It's also a good way of reducing the warranty from 5 years to 90 days.

New or used, I hope I get a good one.

Isn't it weird they got som many open boxes of these?
There have been quite a few complaints about Monoprice subs over on the FB home theater group. Also its a PITA to replace a driver/amp as they require you send back the entire sub for replacement which is stupid.

I have 2 12-inch Klipsch subs rated at 600w each and think they do alright. It definitely helped with the dead zones in the living room and you don't have the super boomy zones either.

I currently have one of the subs making a low rumble at idle, and have isolated it to something going on with the sub (no audio cables hooked up). I might keep my eye on a deal for something similar to what I currently have because it definitely sounded better with 2 subs than with 1.

Not sure if that helps you, but I'd go with 2 mediocre subwoofers over 1 house shaking subwoofer if you have the space.
I would strongly disagree with this ... I have 2 Klipsch R-12s upstairs in a large, open room, and 1 SVS PB-1000 in a large, open basement. All are corner loaded, phased correctly, etc. The SVS hits much harder/deeper/louder than the two Klipsch and it's not even close. You can actually feel the SVS in your chest, even in an oversized room; not so with the Klipsch. The only time the Klipsch pair performs moderately better is when listening to music at low volume (but they get boomy as volume increases).

Just bought one. Still 1 left in stock. You can't add it to cart since the product page seems to be down, but if you had one in cart, you can check out.

This one vs SVS PB-1000 pro. Which one you guys recommend.
This one has better specs, louder and is cheaper. Should perform better in a larger room. BUT numerous QC issues. Also much bigger and heavier.

SVS is more expensive, not as loud, but smaller. Better customer service.

I personally have a PB-1000 in a large open basement and it is more than adequate for my needs. But if you crave max bass, have a limited budget, and/or want to take a chance on the amp issues, go for this one!
