I was excited all morning, now I'm bummed and have no sub to look forward to. Wondering if anyone got in on it.
Still juggling between "enough" performance, longativity (aka amps won't die), and cost.
The Bowers and Wilkins ASW610 @ half off and for $450 is so attractive, but this for $200 more has literally 10x power. And then SB-3000 for $750 is great too, heard so many great things about SVS but never owned a piece. I have the ASW610 in box but leaning toward returning it...
As for longevity all of these tend to fail for electronics first - the amplifiers fry. Monoprice's big negative has always been their RMA process does not allow just RMAing the amplifier - however the 13" and 16" DO allow RMAing just the amplifier.
There's also some pretty solid DIY kits that are the best bang for the buck (assuming there's no dream deals like this $1100 discount)
