Sets like this are usually meant for the construction trades, which practically never encounter metric fasteners. It would be interesting if they put together a set for the more mechanical trades, like auto repair...I wonder how well that would sell.
At this price, people would buy this set just for the Packout compatible case!
The highlight for this deal is the customizable large packout case, sells for $15 if you buy separately. The 74 pieces of bits are just bonus.

Both the makita and Milwaukee can break from normal use.
no one is saying that makita won't break. i think some people just prefer the bit selection that makita offers.

i don't know why i'm here. i won't need any more impact bits for the next 50 years

No metric hex sigh
Ditto...I pretty rarely use SAE hex.

Other poster is probably right that these are meant for tradesmen given the crazy number of duplicates.

Home users don't need 17 P2 bits or 10 T25s (if you count the double endeds)...that's more than a lifetime supply for most people.

Would love to instead see some of those duplicates replaced with metric hex. Though maybe you could still justify buying this for the case and then buying a standalone metric bit set and sticking them where all of the Philips duplicates are.

I really dislike the Milwaukee case for these bits. The two that I have are very difficult to pull the bits out of the piece that holds it in. I sometimes have to get a pair of plyers to pull out the ones I need.
Well known issue, I attached vice grips to a postal scale and it took something like 20lbs to pull a bit out of my old set.

But, if you look closely at this set, you can see that the bit holders are different, it looks like a new design. I bet they fixed that issue.

Also, I have an older Makita bit set that I dropped from waist height onto concrete, the case latch broke and like a third of the bit holders inside broke as well. I bet the older Milwaukee cases would have survived that drop.

They DID finally fix that issue after ~10 years of people (myself included) complaining about it, though there are still plenty for sale out in the wild...

In for the bits.

The case will be donated directly to my local thrift store after I'm done pulling all the bits out with pliers.

Love the shockwave bits - easily the best bits I've used for the price. They're one piece of kit I no longer need to think about:

Need bits? buy Shockwave.
Don't need bits? Buy Shockwave bits on sale for later.

IMO 1" bits are worthless ... or almost but plenty of cheap packs of them so who cares?

It would sell extremely well, look how the rebadged Irwin sets sell on the tooltruck/crack dealers.
I want to like Milwaukee hand tools, but they completely miss the mark on what mechanics need.

I am the opposite. I am pulling out all the bits and put in storage while preparing the case for all my own collection. I do own many of these new cases. They are a lot easier to be pulled out. All you need to do is to tilt the bit 45-deg before pulling.

I got this set added with the m12 fuel impact drill kit that's on here for $99. The store I went to didn't have the drill kit where it was advertised and I was ready to try some negotiation to get it included. I had to wait about 15 minutes for them to find it in the back and the worker offered a dollar off for each minute that I waited, but I asked if I could add this set to the unit and he agreed. So be kind and patient and who knows what you'll get if you ask.

Will normal bits work in an impact drill if used very sparingly?
