A Massachusetts couple wrote a newsletter that was critical about ebay's fees etc. so ebay executives decided to use company resources and employees to harass and intimidate them:

Holy crap! What a bunch of losers at senior levels, who apparently had nothing else to do. Now they can harass people in prison.

Is the $15 spend before or after Tax?
Unlike most deals, AMEX offers are usually always after tax as the amount charged to the card is what triggers it

but why do you want to checkout with paypal? it makes sense when you want to combine with 5% bonus on chase, but on amex you just get 1% anyway
sometimes people have money stores in their paypal balance so in this case, if something cost $50 they can use the $30 in their paypal balance and charge $20 to amex.

or, i think paypal let's you do split payments if you only want to charge $15 to amex and the rest elsewhere.

makes 0 sense, why keep any balance in paypal! transfer it to bank and pay with cc to get cashback rather than paying just simple cash

exactly what i do but everybody can't be smart like me (and you).

i'm just telling you what a bunch of people end up doing.

a bunch of people use a debit card in paypal and get zero cashback; not everyone in america is getting "cashback." they have no incentive to transfer money out of their paypal account which takes days just to make a purchase on that same debit card.

in fact, i would say 75% works this way because outside of sd, i can hardly find anyone who clickthru or even gets cb on a cc. why anyone would use a debit card is beyond me but i've heard things like it helps them control their finances. i'm also aware some people cannot get a good cc so i guess there are good reasons.

anyway, this is why you use paypal with a cc.

also for some people (not me), they find the protection offered thru paypal to be better than a "dispute."

I have been getting quite frustrated with the recent Amex offers. Last month, I had to call customer support twice to get my offers redeemed. The CS agent also told me that the Amex offer will only reflect in my account after the offer ends, that's usually a couple of weeks after I use my card.

This was not the case in the past. In the past, the Amex offers were immediately reflected in my account after I met all the requirements.
