I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

Best way to cancel is to port out after paying off the phone and within 3 days. Porting out automatically cancels your line, no need to talk to a rep. plan will either be $0 or prorated.
But if you are porting away, you have to port TO somewhere, and pay those cell fees at the new place, right? I was opening a new Verizon acct with a new number. I don't really want the number, just the discounted phone but unlocked.

On ATT can you unlock once you pay it off or do you need to wait X amount of days?

In that iPhone 13 Mini bonanza in the spring... I seem to remember we were able to buy the Verizon variant and then insert an AT&T sim so that the iPhone would "lock" to AT&T. We could then request a device unlock immediately here: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/

Is this still an option? It would be great to use the phone right away rather than having to wait 60 days. Or do we not know yet because the deal isn't "live"?

This "deal" is just in time. Need to replace my kid's iPhone 11 that is dying.

Porting out your number is kind of a painless and instant way to close your line. You don't need to call and argue with a rep etc etc. Tello Mobile cheapest plan is $5 using esim option. Then you can let your number die there.

I stopped by my local Walmart to scope out the deal today. The cell phone rep was from a 3rd party company called OSL, and he said I would need to make an appointment when the sale starts to get the phone because the process takes a long time in store. Is this how it is with all Walmarts, or just this one?

This is a great deal, you can opt to pay off the $300 or put it over 36 months to then pay it off when ever you like. This won't be a bill credit of any sort, the phone is truly on sale for $300. I bought an iPhone 11 through Walmart the last time it was on sale for $100 or $2.77 for 36 months. I "upgraded" my line through walmart.com, but still have the phone sealed brand new as a back up currently and I am still using my old phone. I will most likely do the same with this deal.
At&t or Verizon? Did you do $2.77/month or pay off early? If at&t and no early payoff, were you able to submit unlock request? TIA

I work in the department that sells these phones at Walmart. Great deal with no contract. Like everyone else is saying, pay off device and keep or cancel service. New and existing customers. I work in the Orange County California/Los Angeles area so if anyone has questions or help, please message me.
To proceed with this deal, where should I go?
Can I do it online as well?
Thanks

Stay away from the Samsung A series phones. Replaced for my son's A54 4x before giving up. The phone never has service. Get the FE model instead.

It depends on your plan. For anyone on older plans that don't qualify for subsidized phones these yearly WM iphone deals are about as good as it gets.
Are you saying someone on a grandfathered (technically) can get in on this deal?
We have a discounted family plan, for years now. I'm trying to add a line for my daughters and I don't really want to waste my time going to Walmart.
I got in on $99 iphone deals a few years ago, Walmart phone people are something else to deal with. Not knowledgeable, whatsoever...

Yea, should be fine. You can order online and just activate when it gets to your door. No need to deal with Walmart people at all.
