I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

Yeah I have all of that info. Gave it to the Verizon rep today and she said she can't find that my account exists… not even the phone number that I also gave. Tried SSN, SIM #, IMEI of phone. Nothing. Very strange. I tried setting up an online account but couldn't link the new number
In that case you got phone for free, since there is no record there should not be any payment outstanding..

My is also schedule for today but when I check tracking number provide by Walmart. It is Fedex home delivery and there is no way it will delivery today for me when it is still in another state
I tried to pay the phone off through the Chat Bot and it said I'm not eligible to pay it off until January 8. 🤷🏻 ♀️ is that true???

Is it 3 days once you order it, or 3 days after activation? I'll receive mine today (3 days after I ordered it/added a line).
Cancel your line immediately after activation. Why wait another day? Get the lowest final bill as possible

I don't think so, a lot of people able to pay it off and cancel the line before the phone show up. maybe you should try going to store next.

When you get the phone immediately swap the sim to an old inactive AT&T sim, power on go through setup etc until it connects to network
Then go to AT&T unlock webpage and select don't have a number, input the IMEI, you'll get a confirmation email where you click confirm then it should unlock.
Make sure sim is inactive
Make sure not to power on with Verizon sim still in or it will lock to Verizon
I plan to use this phone on an old tmobile account. If I put in a tmobile sim ifirst, would it lock to that similar to how the att method works? The phone may not be unlockable immediately, but I would have less risk of getting the phone stuck in att purgatory.

No, don't make that assumption. There is a signed contract outstanding. Once the SIM card is activated, all records will show up

For me yes, It

For me yes, I took delivery but didn't turn the phone on prior to canceling with Verizon. I used the ATT trick after canceling and it worked for me.
Well I thought I had a ATT sim lying around but it appears only Verizon. Can I just buy one from a ATT store?

I paid off my device before it was delivered following the below steps.

For those who'd like to pay off the device through the bot, here is what I did:

0. Add credit card account to your Auto Pay payment method.
1. If you haven't received the cellphone, that's okay, just call 8008374966
2. The bot is going to repeat your cell number that is calling from and asking if this is number you are calling about, you can just say no.
3. Then the bot will let you enter the new Verizon phone number.
4. Since I'm calling during out of business hour, the bot is going to help me out and ask for the Pin.
5. The bot is going to let you describe what you are calling about "in one or two sentences"
6. I just said "I'd like to pay off the deivce"
7. The bot said "Alright I can help" and then is going to confirm pay off details including the amount of the dollar and the credit card you are going to use.
8. You simply say Yes and it is done! I received the email immediately.

Need desperate help. Recieved my Verizon phone today, did the at&t inactive sim unlock trick. Worked liked a charm. Put my verizon sim in and it would not activate. Called verizon and they have no record of my account/phone number. Even tired looking it up with my SSN and nothing. Did a walmart chat and they couldn't help either. Is it possible Walmart did not activate the sim on their end before sending to me? How do I proceed? How can I pay off the phone and cancel my plan if verizon can't even find that my number or account exists?
I think your assumption is correct. My phones were activated when Walmart shipped me the phone meaning Verizon knew my info and created an account which has a copy of the contract. If Walmart didn't do those steps then Verizon is clueless. Sounds like you got a free phone. Enjoy!

What's more interesting to me is it is so easy to unlock with a AT&T sim. I need to find one! That's said I'll certainly pay off my debts to Verizon. I don't want the bad credit only over $300. But with the AT&T trick you don't have to drawer it for 60 days.

If verizon dpp is active and not paid off, can it be unlocked via att trick?
