I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

I can finally rest easy, phones paid off, lines cancelled, unlocked via AT&T sim trick.
Now that I know all the tricks thanks to the amazing people in this forum it doesn't seem so bad but man that was nerve-wracking lol

Also I did line cancellation on chat they all confirmed that final bill amount would be $12 so no activation fee just the pro-rated few days, taxes fees etcWhen
When did your ATT activation period start?

Wal-Mart was supposed to deliver my ATT iPhone 13 today and it got delayed to Monday. Will this take away my ability to cancel before the three 3 day activation period?
I talk to CS and the answer I got is the 3-days start from the time you turn on the phone and activate it. Be careful do not pay off the phone now, I paid it off and somehow the phone show active on the network even though I am still waiting for it to delivery tomorrow
However quick google show the 3 days start from the time you sign the agreement, and other show start from the services.
I would say if you saw the new line show up in MyATT portal, that's would be the starting of 3 days

Thank you, pay off first phone purchased in store today, place order online for second phone, est delivery 17th, is OK within 3 day cancel rule? I'm plan cancel first line either second line show up or on Monday.
It is 3 days from ship because the line gets created on ship date. If delivery is 3 days past ship date that could cause issues with the activation refund

If I cancel the line before pay off the device, do I have to return the device by any chance?

Confirmed that the unlock worked for an AT&T prepaid sim. Same sim used for the iPhone 13 Mini bonanza in the spring. :-)

Now figuring out the "best" process to cancel the Verizon line. Hoping to see someone add that to the Wiki.
may I use free up sim card to do this unlock?

It won't, the reason why ATT trick works, because walmart send out phone with 4000 flex plolicy so it will get locked to the first SIM and then be unlocked by ATT. But StraightTalk phone just shipped out with locking to tracfone.

For pay off device use the chat bot after hours as described in other posts. Tell it to "pay off device" and it will let you.
Yeah - It won't let me do it. Maybe it's just my account. The chatbot said "Currently this device isn't eligible to be paid off. You can come back on 12/5/23 to pay this off."

Thanks. Is there any way without booting to check the phone has 4000 flex plolicy?

Experian. I turned up at my local store as they had 2 available and had to unfreeze my credit. Took a while, but got there in the end. Word of warning - if you sign up for an experian account they automatically sign you up for a checking account!! Its a check box you cant uncheck - had to make a call later to close that shit down!
I have been an Experian basic member since 2021, where do you see the auto sign up for checking account, that's unacceptable! I'd like to confirm that they didn't pull that on us, especially the existing users.
