Usually if anything goes wrong with these it is within the warranty period. No moving parts, if things go wrong its because of physical damage or it was put above a fireplace and those usually are not covered by the extended warranty (former Circuit city person who hated selling warrants to people.).
$1400?
and only 65 inch vs 75 inch ! comparing apples with watermelons ???
This model is 6.9 on rtings. Is rather wait and see what happens with the U7 and U8, which both are arrived 8.5.

What I REALLY want to replace it with is an OLED set, but with the best OLED price right now looking like approximately $1400 plus tax for just a 65" screen, this Hisense 75" is just checking so many boxes, especially the ridiculous $400 price tag. I already have Walmart+ so this is likely the TV for me. I'll def spring for an extended warranty.
Worst case scenario: I get this first, and then I can keep my eyes peeled for some crazy "can't pass up" OLED option.
Humans aren't evolved enough to deal with such a crazy amount of change - why do you think conservatives are constantly trying to drag us back to the stone age? I can't entirely blame them, but trying to get back to that is like trying to put the cork back on the champagne bottle - pretty pointless. Better to just accept reality, and try to find a way to deal with the mess.
I work in AI technologies currently. I stay pretty up-to-date on burgeoning tech whether I want to or not. I, like many people my age, am probably more well versed in digital technology than younger generations who were born post-internet. Just by virtue of being the right age in the right place and time to witness the boom and follow the developments.
Even still, I see it happening already. Hell, industry leading experts that I have the privilege of working with often don't understand the very technology they're "developing" anymore. The AI spiral is already in full swing and we've lost control. I can't keep up with what's *really* happening and honestly I'm not sure anyone can. We aren't developing technology anymore, as much as we are watching technology develop itself and trying to figure out how to harness it for utility and capital gain. The whole industry is really revolving around learning and studying the machines now more than anything else. Becoming an expert in the field really relies on just being able to anticipate and react to the self-directed actions of computers.
Kinda scary sometimes. But I probably just think too much.
I think Hisense is trying to signal us.
