Nice deal, but I'm waiting for a deal on the regular Ultra. This LT is the cheaper version that lacks Dolby support.

Same processor and same ram in Ultra and Ultra LT. Less features and downgraded remote for sure.

but for anyone concerned if it is discontinued or unsupported, it's still a "current" model:

"Roku is currently manufacturing these products and they are fully supported."

Roku Ultra LT appears to be Walmart specific - this may not include the pro version of the remote that includes the remote finder feature.

Got this last year. It's not bad at all. I like it better than 4k+ stick. Remote is a bit bigger and heavier. Has the headphone jack

No, it's just a steaming box that has its own OS and channels like Netflix and Hulu that require their own subscriptions. There are some free, ad supported channels that I don't watch. I mostly use it for Plex and YouTube tv. The OS is super simple and easy to use. I really like them and have had about 8 over the years. I've used just about every other streaming device and these just work. I would recommend either the Stick, LT or Ultra. The express is much slower than the rest.

I have the older Roku Ultra LT 4662RW that comes in the blue box hooked up to a old 1080p TV. It seems to work just fine still would there be any benefit upgrading to this on such a old none 4k TV?

Picture wise, probably not. However, if it's an older processor than what's in the newer LT, then the newer one would be faster. If your aren't having issues with the one you have now, then don't switch if you don't have the other upgraded tech to benefit from it.

Have you tried a stereo or reciever volume?

Sorry, see now you asked about receiver. No, these aren't hooked up to receivers, only have audio through Tv.

And on my main TV, I have sound bar, Roku controls power and sound on Tv and sound bar, but I believe that is because I am using it with HDMI eArc connection. Haven't tried to directly control external receiver with it.

However, the roku software in the settings menu only suggests you can connect to TV. There is no option to pair with something other than a TV.

Used to love my Roku ultra interface so much that I have many Roku's on many tvs, even bought ultras to replace tvs that were Roku smart tv's……. But after getting used to one Apple TV, (screen savers are amazing too) I won't go back to buying another Roku. They are nice but man the newer gen's of Apple TV remote is smooth (older gen not so much). Not an Apple fanboy either it's just a great product

No. I have the 4640 version of the ultra (from somewhere around 2016/17) and set my aging parents up with an ultra LT from last Black Friday. Theirs has Dolby vision and stuff unlike mine, but in terms of speed navigating around and all, no perceptible difference at all, and mine is still getting all the latest updates as well. So for an older tv that can't take advantage of the additional features, there's really no benefit.

I wish, but I've also done what the other commenter mentioned. My receiver can 1. Have its volume be controlled by the TV and 2. Automatically power down when it detects the TV has been turned off. eARC, I believe. Wish it could automatically turn on with the TV too!

I'm not up to date all on Roku boxes and all the different versions you can get. But is this something that a person who lives in different hotels a lot for work can use easily to watch their shows abroad? Do you hotspot to your phone or something?
