Nice deal, but I'm waiting for a deal on the regular Ultra. This LT is the cheaper version that lacks Dolby support.

Same processor and same ram in Ultra and Ultra LT. Less features and downgraded remote for sure.

but for anyone concerned if it is discontinued or unsupported, it's still a "current" model:

"Roku is currently manufacturing these products and they are fully supported."

Roku Ultra LT appears to be Walmart specific - this may not include the pro version of the remote that includes the remote finder feature.

I wish, but I've also done what the other commenter mentioned. My receiver can 1. Have its volume be controlled by the TV and 2. Automatically power down when it detects the TV has been turned off. eARC, I believe. Wish it could automatically turn on with the TV too!
Yea I just have an old yamaha receiver with optical in. I'll just live with the fire cube since it can adjust the receiver volume.

Wonder if a new model is coming soon or if its being discontinued due to the big price drop.

at this point one is better off just putting 30 bucks towards the nvidia shield pro when it goes on sale.
so much more you can do with it and supports everything

You can get a 30-day free trial of HBO Max if you activate a new Roku.

It has an IR blaster built in. You just add a receiver into the equipment settings. It automatically adjusts the volume on the reciever and powers on with voice or with fire cube remote. The fire stick would be able to also, but you wouldn't have voice commands.

I was considering this to replace an old, slow, buggy Roku 2 on a kids TV but realized since I replaced my LG TV and its limited app availability with a Sony with Google TV that has every app, I don't need the Ultra for my main TV anymore, so down it goes to the kids' TV.

I'm curious. What else can a Shield do?
