Nice deal, but I'm waiting for a deal on the regular Ultra. This LT is the cheaper version that lacks Dolby support.

Same processor and same ram in Ultra and Ultra LT. Less features and downgraded remote for sure.

but for anyone concerned if it is discontinued or unsupported, it's still a "current" model:

"Roku is currently manufacturing these products and they are fully supported."

Roku Ultra LT appears to be Walmart specific - this may not include the pro version of the remote that includes the remote finder feature.

If you have an older Roku or want to get one for 4K it's a good deal at $34. However we have a roku streaming stick that I think is $39 normally and it does 4k easy and it's small and out of the way behind the TV. 4k from Disney is good and we've done 4k through netflix at 18Mbps without issues just over wifi. So, just keep in mind your steaming needs.

If you don't use plex or any PC to roku streams this is a bit overkill for apps. Most apps compress the hell out of their stuff to keep the bandwidth down so their 4k would have no issues over wifi unless you have a lot of people streaming or gaming etc concurrently.

No video formats if there's no USB ports.

It's a Walmart special edition. It really needs a memory card to operate properly. Picked one up last year. Almost returned it till I tried adding a memory card.
This one in the
Purple box does not need a memory card. The previous blue box one did though.

Last year I bought the Roku Ultra LT and used just the remote to "upgrade" the basic Roku remote for our Roku TV to a voice activated, headphone capable one.

The buttons on our Roku Ultra (non LT) for our other TV are starting to get very insensitive so this year I might buy this just to replace the remote.

I don't know about all that. I bought two and they work fantastic. Super fast and responsive with great range in the house far from the router. However I could have sworn last year they said they were the 2021 model? Which I thought was one of the reasons they were going so cheap. If i'm not mistaken, roku only updates these for so long and then moves on to the new models. So is this the exact same model as last year? Not that that's necessarily a bad thing if they're going to keep updating these for the foreseeable future.

Don't have one yet, but evidently you can use the Roku app on your phone to make the remote play some sounds so you can find it.

Genuine question: those who own Roku units, are you still randomly seeing the purple HDCP error message despite having a quality hdmi cable?

I was a Roku household and upto a year or so ago got those random hdmi HDCP messages. I did all the firmware upgrades but it was of no help.
I also upgraded my TVs firmware as well.
I have 4 Roku devices and I have never seen that error. 2 Express 4K+, 1 Streaming Stick 4K and 1 Express 4K. 3 are directly connected to the TVs with the included HDMI cables and 1 is connected to a home theater receiver. I googled it and evidently you're not the only one receiving the error.

just so you know, these errors is because of the cable oxidation or the hdmi port is loose/strained. to troubleshoot this i would:

1. change / swap hdmi cable with good cable and test
a. if after a week, good cable seems to work fine and no issues, cable connects was oxidized
2. if changing cable didn't help, put brace in back of cable or on side of tv to to prevent hdmi port from flexing/straining from weight of cable. might have to get creative (multiple layers of painters tape works wonders)
a. if after a week this works, port is simi damaged or loose and would need to be replaced/fixed/changed ( ie: new tv/ av reciever)

usually for me, one of the two usually works and i know my next course of action. but then again, after finding this out, i just brace my cables in one way, shape or form and haven't had this issue again.

at this point one is better off just putting 30 bucks towards the nvidia shield pro when it goes on sale.
so much more you can do with it and supports everything
I sold mine, too complicated and confusing
