yea people dont realize the FE series is a powerful phone, way better than the A5x series samsung phones. An dthe trade in value for the FE phone stays strong even 2-3 years later.

you don't need 180 days service, only pay it for the order, 180 days later after activation, you will be able to get unlocked...

I actually like all the moto phones I've had, but the updates or lack thereof keeps me away

Out of stock for several days. Metro must be stocking up for a big drop
Is that what usually happens when phones are out of stock for a while? Its my first time trying to get one online

I think they know a lot of people will do instore so they aren't stocking up more so just doing a light form of price discrimination heh

They probably have enough demand in store that increases the likelihood of cross-selling other services / products. IMO, online stock will return if in-store demand wanes. Also it depends how many phones they have and need to sell.

you have long road to go to get firmware for s23 fe , especilly for t-mobile version ...it is so new and only released for two weeks
FYI to anyone who wants to try flashing TMB firmware in order to ACTUALLY use on T-Mobile without unlocking, TMB firmware is now live on sammobile

I do understand from the OP and many comments that only one month of active service is all needed for auto unlock after 180days while there are some comments mentioned continued active service until 180days. Any recent experience with unlock without continued service?

The S23FE just came out, nobody has got theirs unlocked by Metro yet. However, there are many of us who bought the Metro Samsung A54 in May this year, used it only one month then stashed it away. We've been getting our A54s unlocked since 11/4. It might and it won't void the warranty or trip Knox. You're flashing official firmware.

The TMB firmware is for both metro version and the one directly from t-mobile.
The metro version and the direct t-mobile version have exact the same hardware and software. The sim locking status is based on the IMEI number, which determines if the phone is locked to metro or t-mobile, once the phone connects to t-mobile's (including metro) server's database.
So flashing the TMB firmware won't do anything for you.

No, it should not affect unlock. Just the ability to switch between MetroPCS and other T-Mobile-based SIMs. The radio firmware still locks it to T-Mobile (and whatever MVNOs). You would probably also have to flash back the Metro firmware after 6 months for full unlock.

Is it? They're separate files on Sam Mobile... but it's true I havent tried this since galaxy S10 series phones so it's possible it's changed. Not like this other guy spreading BS... just pointing out someone should at least try and report. I would if I could get the phone lol.

Do you have to pop in the sim to activate for unlock or does it get activated automatically? Thanks!

They are the same firmware. The phone will load T-Mobile apps or metro apps depending on the sim card you put in.
Actually, if you setup the s23 fe without a sim card inside, you can't even finish the setup wizard. There is a walk around: right after powering on at the start screen with choosing languages, press vol up, vol down and power button at the same time, then it would allow you to finish the setup wizard without a sim card.
If you put in a metro/tmo sim card later inside the phone, it will force you to restart which would actually factory reset the phone and you have to setup again.

If you switch sim cards between metro and tmo, the phone will load metro or t-mobile apps and settings including boot animation automatically.
