Been swapping for years. Basically just switch between parties at same location via different emails and can even use different CCs if you wish. Doesn't matter even if other party is second, just can't go primary party to primary party w/o it being a renewal or breaking the listed rules. Same applies to Sam's Club.

It can make it messy, but as long as you keep proof of the membership number it was purchased under, never been a problem. They don't say can't return just because your membership is expired and don't have to have a current one to return stuff. Pro tip: Take pictures of reciepts as they often fade and while it isn't a big deal if bought under current membership, it makes it difficult if you do get new number every 12-18 months.

Thats not true, I get my money worth just on one car rental. Usually a week rental booked with costco is like $60-100 cheaper than directly on car rental website. Plus you get free additional driver.

I haven't been a member for 6 years and it didn't work on my main account nor on a new one with a new email. It just says that the Gold Member "product" is sold out... How the nut do you sell out of an ethereal item that drives all of their sales?

so,,after buying from stacksocial..we need to present to get the membership...and then costco rep will give us $40 gift card rigth at the time of pening the membership?....that becomes $20 memebrship fee

You can just have a friend or family member buy you a stash of Costco cash cards (store gift cards) and you will be able to get into the store, make purchases, and even make returns without having a membership. I have been doing it for years and saved a lot of money on membership fees. The cash card even works at their gas pumps.

Being a second member doesn't count as active membership and 18 months rule doesn't apply?

Not sure where and why it says that. Anyone over 16 can get a free card if they live at the same address. You get their regular membership.
