Pharmacist here, would not recommend this for regular sleep aid use. Definitely not for the elderly due to side effect risks. Melatonin is safest if it works for you. Otherwise ask your doctor about other prescription agents like low dose trazodone or mirtazapine

So true. I always felt soo groggy in the mornings taking melatonin. Got a sample of kid's melatonin somewhere and it was 1mg per gummy. Much better.
