Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

My two orders were posted to my credit card. The one that shipped and was recalled(no plan) and the one that hasn't shipped but had a plan. So frustrating..

I like this solution. At this point, its a matter of my sanity level with another walmart employee/manager, or $15 more. I will go when i drop off my daughter to dance. If it cant be resolved in that time, coming home and doing the $15. I cant afford more brain cells on this
When you go to Tracfone site just choose activate from the menu then New Phone, then it leads you select the $15 service plan without autofill.

This morning's order shipped. I have a tracking number.
The order from Monday, where I choose the $35 plan is still Pending remote fulfillment.
What a joke. I hope I can cancel that first order to get a full refund.
Good luck cancelling, they usually just say to refuse pkg when it arrives. Stupid policy when we know they can cancel/recall at any time.

Has anyone used a TF sim kit to activate this phone on an existing TF line? I'd like to save the ST 1-month plan for later usage in a different device. TIA.
Included sim is linked to phone IMEI, likely will not activate in different phone.
Using a TF sim kit will activate phone as BYOP & then it may not unlock.
Might be best to activate & wait 60 days then move to TF.

Received both of my phones earlier as well.

Ordered Nov 7th on two separate orders with silver plan around 830am. Shipped out the same day around 6pm. Both black. Had to activate them through chat support, auto unlock date 1/9/24

Did you use the same account or did you create a new account for the 2nd order?
I activated them via the phone number provided on the cards that came with the SIM cards. Pretty easy to do honestly. Tried the website and kept getting an error even though I tried different web browsers and even on the computer. I just made new accounts for both.

So has anybody who actually bought the phone on Monday on the straight talk website with the $35 plan have it shipped yet or have you received it yet or is it still showing 'pending remote fulfillment' like mine and many others on here?

I have called FIVE different times today on which I had to be transferred after talking to the initial CSR. Three of the times I was disconnected on the transfer and the other two times I was given conflicting information. As others have noted when I asked to cancel they said they cannot do that, and just refuse my order when it comes. Of course, I told them that was unacceptable. I was getting nowhere with them.

I have started a dispute with my credit card company on this.

Got mine today and am going to wait to activate for a month.I'd like to get a combo case / screen protector.
I would like slim case but have a little grip to it, rather than a hard shell that's slippery.
Any recs?

Speck makes a nice grippy case (screen protector would be separate) but you need to research prices - can be expensive if not on sale.

This was exactly what I needed. My phone is now activated. Thanks and Repped!

For those that have received the phones from Straight Talk - how do you activate the phone? I tried going to ST's website and going to the activate section of the website and inputting the IMEI but it's giving me an error - "Device is not eligible for the requested action".

it shouldn't be this difficult. I purchased the phone with the $45 plan.
Already mentioned earlier but this is common. I activated two lines over the phone using the automated system.
