Looks like Straight Talk is having an early Black Friday sale on the iPhone SE 2022 starting November 6th. It's $49.99 when you add the phone and a plan to your cart and then remove the plan. Great deal for trading in on T-Mobile or if you want to unlock it (60 days after activation).

Instructions:
  1. Add the phone to your cart on Straight Talk's website
  2. Add a plan to your cart
  3. Remove the plan from your cart (phone should now be $49.99)
  4. Use the "duplicate" option in the cart to add more
Note that you must activate the phone on Straight Talk for it to be unlocked!

QA Note: OOS via Straight Talk but see the front page post for an option at the same price via Walmart in store.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

iPhone SE 3rd Generation

SEASON'S SAVINGS!

• Save $100 with any $45 or higher Plan Purchase Required

Straight Talk raised the price to $99 from $49
-This means you can no longer use the loophole of buying it via the Straight Talk website.
It is still $49+ instore

So the steps would be:
1. Buy the phone instore, activate on Straight Talk (any 30 day plan). The online activation process has not worked for many, it's recommended to activate by phone. Instructions to activate through an automated phone service are HERE.
2. Text UNLOCK to 611611 to confirm the Automatic Unlock Date it will reply with exact date. (You will likely need to send this message twice, as it often doesn't reply the first time)
3. Don't have your account on auto-renew, plan cancels after 30 days
4. Wait for 61 days after your activation date
5. The iPhone SE is now unlocked automatically

Walmart In-Store

The Promotion price isn't automatically taken off at normal checkout in-store it rings up full $149 price even with Plan. Need a Straight Talk rep instore to get the discount. They needed to enter the phone and plan on their terminal to get the discount to apply. Then they will scan the sku on the Walmart POS to check out.

If none above works ask for Manager to override it show them the listing on walmart.com if still won't sell it at promotion price tell them its false advertising since they lured you to store and won't honor the promotion price.

https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/...nBg=FFFFFF

Website shows non-instock online at local walmart stores but they did have them in Electronics. Back of Phone Cardboard says ST SE3.

Link to Walmart Website [walmart.com] (All stores show OOS, so you'll need to go in the store to check stock).

In-store activation requires providing your first name, last name, and a unique email address for each phone. You cannot use an email address from an existing Straight Talk account. Thank you to cvesper, Orang3Beard, LCL121, and Impulse_shopper for the information.

Make sure you provide your email address and the Walmart/ST rep does not input a random one, otherwise your phones will not have a ST account, which could be problematic if need to check the status of your phone's setup online or if you run into any difficulties (like with the service plan not being included with your account due to an error by the Walmart/ST rep). Thank you to llenrad for the information.

In-store checkout flow, according to MrSlickitySlick:
Quote :
Warp computer
Create new order
Straight talk
Purchase with activation
Next
New customer 1st name,last name
New email
$35 plan
Asks for device imei
Print documents and then check out at regular Walmart register

Ps mobile rep and Walmart electronics rep are 2 different associates, most Walmart reps won't know what they are doing, some mobile reps don't even know what there doing, try your luck

Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

If the wireless rep has having difficulty, try this (thanks, busbeepbeep):

I spent 2 hours in my local Walmart as the wireless rep wasn't familiar with doing straight talk transaction.

Passing this one in case it helps, once they generate the bar code from the Warp, my person was having issue cause she'd bring that to the walmart register and it would only show up as "special order, ST 35 plan" and not the phone. Then she'd scan the phone UPC, which would show $149.

After much back and forth, we figured out needed to scan the WARP barcode and then scan the 2nd barcode on the phone, not the top UPC barcode, and it showed up as $49.99. Total after tax for me was like $99.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

My order with $35 plan done earlier in morning got cancelled. Probably they are cancelling all the orders.

Worked like a top.

Went to WM

I said "I want this deal" showed them on phone.

WM: Didn't know about this?

Me: Please try it.

WM: I think it requires the $55 plan.

Me. Scan the $35 one first.

WM: (Shaing their head) OK

Clickety Clack on keyboard...

WM: Guess it is a valid promo and the $35 does work...

Me: Paid and left.

The End
So you just had a regular walmart employee scan the $35 card and promo popped up for the phone? You didn't need to have a StraightTalk rep there?

Should be interesting to see if any actually ship, wouldn't be surprised if Straight Talk screwed something up by selling them online when they should have been only in stores.

"We regret to inform you that your order has been rejected due to a system error."

Get ready for mass cancellations.

I'm not OP, but this surprises me...

At the store I went to, the manager thought (hoped) the price would automatically reduce from $149 to $49 when they added the $35 ST card. It did not. He had to manually override it.

I did not need a Straight talk rep. They had some side kiosk that they took me to to add the plan/phone and ring it up. When it was all in that kiosk cart, it showed us promo of $100 off.
One thing that was odd, the right side of the screen said "No promos available" and showed the +100 price, but in the list in the middle it showed the $100 off promo, and the price at the bottom was correct with the discount.

Thanks OP

Worked great for my parents at a Winston Salem WM.

$96.88 after taxes ($49+35 plan)

They did say they had to use a new email as the employee couldn't get it to add to an existing Straight Talk account just FYI.

Same about the email. I created a new one for each phone transaction.

I went into my local Walmart store and had to wait for the wireless phone tech to assist me, I asked about the promo and she said "Yes we do have that available!" She scanned the phone, asked which service I wanted, I said the $35 plan and she asked for name and email.

Once I paid she took sim card that's attached to iPhone box, inserted it, connected to WiFi and phone was activated.

Super easy process, many more phones available because they're listed as straight talk or Total wireless phones!

texted "phone" to 611611 and straight talk wireless service ends Dec 6!

texted "unlock" to 611611 and device will automatically unlock 1/6/24
