Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Got one in Wm store. The store has a flyer with this deal. The first rep said not all stores participate in this offer even though they have the flyer. Called for a manager, and they confirmed it is a valid offer and called another rep. The second rep is more knowledgeable, and they did process within 10 mins.

Turned on with sim, got activation message. Sent UNLOCK message to 611611, and it said it automatically unlocks in 60 days.

Walmart order did not go thru with $35 plan and worked fine with $55, did any one had similar experience?
The sales person scammed you. Since job is commission based, he/she robbed you for extra $

I just got one at Walmart with just a $35 plan with no problem. $96.88 out the door and she asked what plan I wanted. I probably could have used just the $30 plan. Took about 20 minutes. Thanks for posting the dealOP.

Call me mister lucky, walked into Walmart around noon and got one, she had 1 left and let me buy the $35 plan which came out to about $105 after tax so they do charge you on the before discount price…

Since you need one of the warp reps to buy one I'd advise showing up from 11am-4pm mine wasn't there for very many hours of the day.

Yep, I much prefer these over the huge iPhone 11 and such, as I'll grab my iPad for any serious browsing. One thing that I recommend if things look too small is the iOS "zoomed" mode. It basically makes everything look bigger (icons and running apps). You can do some more fine tuning using the "text size" adjustments, but that zoomed option does pretty well to compensate for the smaller size. It's under Settings / Display and Brightness / Display Zoom / Larger Text.
I used the iphone se 2022 at the gym and I was streaming my music and the battery went down 7% which I think is pretty good and better than I expected. I just used the phone for 1 day so I need to play with it more. Like with my pixel 6a, I can't see myself spending lot of time browsing chrome and watching YouTube videos. With my bigger phones with 6.4"-6.8" screen, I can happily use lot more chrome browsing and watching YouTube videos. At the end of the day, my samsung tablet and iPad is more enjoyable at home for browsing and YouTube. I think it is a very good idea to pair a smaller phone with iPad or Samsung tablet. If I was big gamer and watched lot of movies on phone, I would prefer the larger screen but I really don't do that with any of my phones. On day 1, I am impressed with the iphone se 2022. I also have a Pixel 6a (6.1" screen), Samsung Galaxy A54 (6.4") and Motorola G Stylus 5G 2022 (6.8"). I may do a speed test and camera comparison test. I like the midrange phones.

How's the samsung tablet, which kind? My iPad 7th gen stopped charging and repairing the charging port was pretty expensive at $180. I opted to just buy a fire max 11 tablet for around $120 after trading 8n an old and laggy fire 7" tablet. Fire max which is okay but Amazon app store is lacking although I could sideload Google play store play eventually. But inability right away to use the official Chrome or YouTube app is kinda annoying. Nice screen on fire max 11 though

I traded in my old samsung galaxy s6 lite (2020) and got the Samsung galaxy s9 FE. I got on that recent great deal. It is awesome. I have an old iPad but I actually prefer my samsung tablets. I have fire tablet too but samsung tablet is much better.

*** I completely agree about chrome browsing and having a mini screen youtube playing. It is a great pro. I do it all the time. I can't do that with my iPad or my iphones.

A quick question how you reach out to the manager? Called customer service and ask for manager's phone number?

If we already have $45 plan, can we just buy the phone from Walmart without the plan?

You'll probably screw up the first screen protector so it's best to have spares. Wink I have one of those ORlbox cases and it fits great, feels good in the hand. But it's hard to go wrong with Spigen.
Quote from SlySol :
Dollar Tree has a number of cases, although stock can vary by store. Most of them tend to have a fairly cheap plastic feel, but I really like the clear silicone cases. They're flexible and have a nice feel to them. I tried an Otterbox case, but found it way more bulky. Obviously, these wouldn't provide as much protection as an Otterbox, but it's a nice slim case if you don't need major drop protection. The edge protection is fine, but there's no real lip to protect the face if it happened to land flat on the screen. I'm fine with that trade-off, given that it's a cheaper phone. The package looks like this (the 7, 8 and SE 2/3 are the same form factor) …

Just hit dollar tree cost $1.25 each

Black Silicone flexible Case for 7/8/SE didn't see any clear ones.
Screen Protector for 7/8 fits this SE perfect only one in the box

No. They force you to buy a new monthly plan with the phone.

If nobody to activate the phone instore they sold me the phone sealed and $35 pin card. You can add it to your current account if they don't activate it instore. it required manager to override the $149 price to $49 for phone.
