Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Tried calling, no one ever answers. Went at 10 am last Monday when the promo was supposed to start because on the Walmart website it says the wireless dept opens at 10 am. There was one guy in the whole electronics dept and he said come back at 1 pm because that's when the wireless guy comes in and he's the one who knows how to do the phone things. So I came back later and still no wireless guy so I thought, "Ah, well, forget it." Few days later I needed to pick up some stuff at Walmart. I was thinking they're probably sold out of the iPhones but I was already there so might as well check. By some miracle there was somebody at the wireless desk. He said he had to look for it in the back so he left and some time later he comes back and says he doesn't know where "they" put the phones. I asked if the system was saying they don't have them and he says they're supposed to have a few but nobody seems to know where they are. I didn't budge and he went over to a few other Walmart workers in the electronics dept to ask. Honestly, this didn't make sense to me because he was the guy in charge of the phones. I was fully expecting he was just going to come back and say, "Sorry, we don't have them after all." To my surprise he comes back and pulls open a drawer right there under the wireless desk where I had been waiting while he looked everywhere else. The iPhones were right there. Okay. Then he tries to convince me to get something else. He said there's a promo starting the next day for iPhone 13s. I said, "No thanks, I just want this one." So he finally sold it to me and the whole process of activating and actually buying the phone took just a few minutes. What took 3 times longer was the whole Walmart shuffle - the "let me check in the back", "let me check the system", "let me ask somebody", etc. I stayed polite the whole time but stood firm. I'm guessing I lucked out that it was somebody who didn't want to go so far as to lie about not having them even though it was obvious he really didn't want to sell it. I know there's probably others who would just flat out say they don't have them. All this to say just try in store especially if you're going to be there anyway and you're willing to spend time and endure the Walmart shuffle. You might luck out.
Hahahaha this is walmart for every single product smh

Is it safe to assume that those phones that were ordered online on Monday morning with the $35 plan when the deal first went live are stuck on "Pending remote fulfillment" limbo indefinitely? Tomorrow will be a week and my credit card was charged a few days ago.
Nobody really knows about the orders in limbo. There's a decent chance they may get canceled, but orders have also been stuck in "pending remote fulfillment" for around two weeks before shipping out in some threads. Their shipping and tracking system is horrific and also highly unpredictable. Many times, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to who finally ends up getting theirs shipped versus canceled. There was one terrible thread where a vast majority of orders were canceled and / or stuck in limbo for a month, but other threads where fulfillment was somewhat random.

Yes, there's absolutely no sense wasting time dealing with them, as it's already been stressed numerous times that calling them is pointless. But there's also no point wasting time even bothering with a credit card dispute unless the refund doesn't go through. You're welcome to do it however you like, but most people tend to take a logical approach and use their disputes when there's an actual problem rather than just for the heck of it because they make asinine assumptions or just want to cause a headache for the company.
Actually, most people just forget and get scammed.
Company caused the headache first, so they can have it backm

Yes. Mine is as well. The worst nightmare is talking to straight talk customer service. I started with a chat and I was advised to talk to customer service rep. They called me promptly but the person who called me initially could not find the answer and transferred my call to straight talk cooperative office line. This lady was reading the script and had no clues what is going on. For half hour, she kept saying she was sorry but in order for her to help me, she had to verify my identity. She kept asking me for a pin and I kept telling her this was a new order and I am not straight talk customer. We might have to just dispute the charge.

I think I'm banned from ST website so went in store and got a few. Mobile rep was nice.
These are the steps

Warp computer
Create new order
Straight talk
Purchase with activation
Next
New customer 1st name,last name
New email
$35 plan
Asks for device imei
Print documents and then check out at regular Walmart register

Ps mobile rep and Walmart electronics rep are 2 different associates, most Walmart reps won't know what they are doing, some mobile reps don't even know what there doing, try your luck
Thank for your info, the sales don't know how to make this deal and I showed your post and I got 4 SE!

i did the chat thing with two cs reps and both of them told me that i didn't have a reserved pin on file. now i feel like i just got a paperweight. wish they just sent us that damned physical service card
I am assuming you purchased your SE (and $45 plan) from Walmart. Did you give them your email address? If so, go to straight talk website, click this icon
https://ibb.co/92JKSCn
type your email address, then choose "forgot password". You will receive an email from them to create new password. Follow the link, create password, then you will be able to log in and see your account detail.

I just got it sorted out 30 minutes ago. CS Reps could not find my reserved PIN. So, I gave them the order number from my original order email. They were able to fix it from their end. Hope this helps someone.

Nooo, try the chat feature. I just finished doing one. Give them the order number from your email. They might be able to look it up and sort it out. They asked me for a 'PIN' as well, but told them I'm a new customer.

I must have the best Walmart wireless rep around. Monday I went in and showed her the ad, she took the phones out and did the transaction one phone at a time. Each was maybe 2-3 mins tops at the warp system ? Then 30 seconds at the Walmart register. I was done with two phones under maybe 7mins tops. She was willing to sell me more too ! But stupid manager happens to stop by (because someone on phone was calling about se3 stock status) saw me getting 3rd n said can't sell me lol. Rep was cool and willing to sell me as many as I wanted. Even asked me if I care she make random Name and email address lol ! But I had them on hand ready,so she entered them.

I stopped by again on sat and she was there. Got more and was same fast process. Amazing ! No upsell at bs $45/$55 plan some are getting. Just 35.

Absolutely a gem!
