Totally different sound. Sound bar intended to be immersive and this is more a party speaker. That being said the sound from this would crush any soundbar. I have one and sold my PA speaker setup which included a sub because this sounded so much better. I've hosted several 50+ people parties and this had plenty of sound. I bought a second to try out stereo

If you like deep bass get the 710. Check the rtings review and you can see the extension goes much lower. Stereo is fun from a pair of 310 but they won't hit you in the chest like the 710 will

The base is too loud on these on volume lower than 50%. Bases loses power when you go above like 70%. Great party speakers. If you live in apartment then forget about it. It's too loud.
