This is an excellent gateway starter printer for a great price. I still regularly use mine. Even if I bought a newer printer I'd still use this. There is no better time to upgrade your printer then when you're first building it. These are all the upgrades I used:
Aokin 2 Pcs Bowden PTFE Tubing (1.5m/Pcs White) for 1.75mm Filament with 4 Pcs PC4-M6 Fittings and 4 Pcs PC4-M10 Pneumatic Fittings
Upgraded 4PCS Creality Aluminum Hand Twist Leveling Nut with 4PCS Hot Bed Die Springs for Ender 3/3 Pro/3 V2
Redrex Upgraded Aluminum Bowden Extruder with 40 Teeth MK8 Drive Gear for Creality Ender 3
I also bought blue capricorn tubing along with the cutter from TH3D.
You can upgrade using whatever brand you want, but those are the 3 I found to be most reliable through a lot of review sifting. If you dont like or use Amazon, all upgrades can be purchased here as well: https://www.th3dstudio.com/produc...nder-3-v2/
I put a garbage bag over mine (unplugged) when not use along with a posterboard enclosure I made, solely to keep dust off of it. Dust is the enemy.
Its been 2 years and it runs excellent with no issues.
I knew nothing about 3d printing prior to buying it but youtube taught me all I needed to know, including how to properly build it. For $99, this is an excellent deal.

This used to be THE 3d printer deal, but with all the advances and price drops in 3d printers lately this isn't really that great of a deal anymore, like the v3 se the previous poster linked to you get so much more printer for that extra $64, and you'd be paying far more to upgrade this one to the same level. Besides, even that one is questionable since bedslingers are sort of on the way out.

I think everybody thought bedslingers were on the way out until the Bambu A1 came out. Everybody seemed to have Core XY fever until the A1 proved that fast printing is capable on a bedslinger.
Nothing fundamentally has changed since the Ender 3 was the best bang-for-your-buck entry into 3D printing. It just takes a lot longer than newer, more expensive machines out the box, but the modding potential is off the charts. For $100 it's pretty hard to beat but I do agree with others saying to maybe just go straight to the V3 SE for slightly more.
This! Absolutely correct, all the upgrades the the v3 has will cost to as much or more to make your v2 that way, also think the v3 might be faster at printing
I bought the Ender 3 Pro for 100 bucks with the same deal. Paid $25 bucks for the extended warranty, and the screen died 1.5 years in...
Brought it back to Microcenter and got a full refund.

E3v2 was a great printer of the day, I retired mine with some sentimental tears this fall.
