I am so split between a TCL QM8 65" or Hisense U8K 75". Damn!
Hisense has a better upscaling, BUT the 75" U8K has an ADS panel, not a VA. Hisense 65 and 85 are VA. Dont think you can really go "wrong" with either. The best BF deal maybe to make that choice. Looking at a Sony X90L or Hisense U8K myself, just waiting for prices to drop as low as possible.
Paying couple hundred bucks more just to view one scene with the the sun a slightly brighter, is it worth to get a the q7 or u7k? I can't decide which one to get either, qm8 or u8k.
I'm looking at getting the 85 inch of either the qm8 or the u8k. I've seen them both in person at best buy and I like the PQ and brightness of the TCL better but I'm still torn. Reviews say the hisense has better contrast and upscales lower quality content better. I can't decide !!!

pretty sure the north American U8k 85 is an ADS panel.

If you have no plans to calibrate the TV, then the color from the UM8 is better. If you're willing to spend $200 more then the X90L is also very nice.
Qm8 looks pretty good at BB while U8K has dark corners & looks just like TCL 4 series. Have no clues to why reviews on yt are recommending U8K. Is um8 = qm8? As said b4 can't decide to get u8k or qm8 while u7k also looks just like TCL 4 series. it seems Hisense isn't paying for premium spaces at bb to display their tvs where they end up stuck at tight corners clustered with boxes of other brands of TV's, which making viewing & comparing difficult. if the same tvs look just as bad on other bb locations, I will go with Samsung s90 OLED.

Apparently the 85 inch U7K has the same panel, contrast and brightness as the U8K.

I think QM8 folks have said that 75" is the sweet spot in terms of dimming zone count, etc. they kind of downplay the 65.
I think what it comes down to is that QM8 wins the first look spec battle on paper, but it's not really that simple. U8K has a newer SOC which can improve issues like banding & processing & it has the ATSC 3.0 tuner for future 4K OTA broadcasts.
Both are going to have their compromises, you just need to do the research & ask which strong points & weak points mean more to you.
Digital Trends has a nice comparison video IIRC. I think he gives the slight edge to TCL, while rtings gives it to Hisense.
