Could they be mix and matching panels or just screen is good overall?

Is the 65 better if it's a va for sure?
I know different locations, like US, Europe, Asia have different panels in the different models. But as far as just mixing panels in one location like the US, I dont think they would do that.

65" is def a VA, lots of talk about that, and Rtings test panel was a 65". If darker black are what you want than that is what you should look for. I personally need a good viewing angle so I'm hoping the 75" is actually the IPS panel.

I just purchase the TCL 55R646 a couple of days ago for $400. Is the U75K a better TV for $80 more? What are your thoughts? Thx.

Really debating the 65" U7K with costco warranty for $700 vs 65" U8K for $900 elsewhere. Thoughts?

I think it's been posted elsewhere here but the DT YT review concluded the 7K is the best price/value point for almost everyone (unless you're a hard core "nit nerd").

Personally, I'm delighted I was able to cancel my LG and grab this one.

Nobody has a U7K on display. Costco doesn't have any size of that model on display. Best Buy has a U7K 75" 45 miles away from me. So I haven't been able to see it in person.

I've seen the U8K in person and it looks good. There is alot of talk about its ADS pro panel as being the best IPS panel to date with very decent black levels. The U8K AVS forum has over 380 pages of discussion. The U7K has 9 pages. If $400 isn't a huge deal to someone, and they plan to have the tv for 5-10 years the extra money seems worth it.

I'd personally like to see the U7K 75" somewhere but no such luck

Seeing a TV on display is useless. The store will likely run it in demo mode, and basically you can see how bright it will go, but that's it. Not a good indicator of overall picture quality.

No judgment but if you don't know what features you might need or how to research basic TV specs/reviews, then go with the U7. It's a solid performer at a good price.

Both the U7 and U8 are the best value at their price. Need/want the extra features? Like buying expensive stuff? Get the U8. Don't know what features you need or how to research them? Want to save some money? Get the U7.
