    i have the same axe good for home use as well. Sharp and good blade but does require care if you hit the wrong thing.

    5 stars. You don't want the longer one with the hollow handle extension.

    There are people that will debate about the suitability of the head's geometry for turning quantities of trees into quantities of timber, or its weight. I haven't heard a single complaint about the grain orientation of the handle or the head coming off in its first use out of the box.

    TBH, I bought it to both clear junk out of the way and also to pound plastic wedges into cuts, and I've found that it's neither a machete nor an engineer's hammer. But it's still my precious.

    Edit: Amazon may be running a price cut on Estwing in general, since I recently snapped up a hammer at its lowest price since 2019.
