I'm always aware I'm dealing with many people w/ iq's 100 and below, but if you wanted proof that we're surrounded by lemmings just compare this thread with that one LoLz
Just be aware of what you are buying. To me, at first thought, I thought they would be more practical because they can double as tables (so I bought a bunch of those 100-200 MsP and SF2 tables a few years ago). These have a larger footprint than the cabs when taking the play area into account, and the dual/split screen is quite off-putting to some. The control panels usually have much less room to work with when swapping out controls and buttons.
That said, if you do get one, you should try to do one of these with it

I'd be lying if I said I know how! I'd have to look at one of the arcade1up cocktail cabs I've purchased and given away as gifts to see how easy it would be. But a general picture of it would be hinged on one long side, and on that same side you add a 2 player control panel. On the other long side you'd have some hydraulics that will keep it open (think hood struts). Internally, if you want to use the existing (tiny) LCD (which you'd want to do if you don't want to have to cut an opening for a larger monitor), then you'd need a geekworm LVDS to HDMI converter to go to your system of choice-- raspberry pi or PC probably.
Join the HOA board then propose it!
Hard sell but if you have enough "families" to use it then it may be feasible. You'd obviously be the first family to use it though lol

I'm sure there's a mod to add all the arcade fighters
Children of the Atom, Xmen had it before , if I'm not mistaken.
Serious question here. If I can load a bunch of fighters and get the splits screen I'd totally add this to my cabs. I need a "coffee table" anyway 😆
