I personally love LG and Dolby vision, but I refuse to pay more for inferior tech, so I'll try this Samsung out. A lot of people say hdr 10 and dv are not distinguishable.

Also worth notating, this is a gen 2 qd oled panel. Same as the s95c meaning this panel easily outperforms the LG C2 in brightness and colors. I guess the price is lower cause they don't have to pay DV licensing fees.. I wonder how much those are per set?

UPDATE: I CANCELLED MY ORDER!
I went to bestbuy again for the third time in the past 3 days and decided to go with the LG G3. Color accuracy is just better with LG IMO and I don't want to spend hours tinkering and calibrating the Samsung display which may be better, but just isn't dialed in out of the box. Also, I don't think I can live w/out DV... I saw a few comparisons and we are talking about 12 bit color depth vs 10 bit. Their is a difference.

I CANCELED MY S90C 77 ORDER.

You don't know what you are saying. QD-OLED panels have way more coverage of BT2020 color space than WOLED panels do. But enjoy your G3 its not a bad set for movies.

Their website is absolutely infuriating. I enrolled in the Military Offer Program a while back, and that program doesn't qualify for this deal. They will only let you enroll in one Program at a time, but there is no way to unenroll from one to join another that I qualify for. Have wasted hours going in loops with customer service. Absolutely maddening.
You can... if you have a participating workplace you create a samsung.com account with your work email. If you are a student or teacher you create a samsung.com account with your .edu email.

This is true, but the colors are bad without proper calibration and I just don't have time to be tinkering with my TV everything I am watching something different. I prefer the out of the box colors of the LG.

Which is better for movies? I mainly just watch movies and sports.

You can compare this TV to LG G3, C3, and Sony A80L on rtings to help you decide for your use case. I never owned a G series or a Sony but people will probably tell you they have better motion processing and upscaling of low resolution content.

When you say "worked", do you mean you got the $100 Lucky Day promo? When did it work for you?

Finally got the item added to my cart in the app, so now I have $1974.99, will keep refreshing for the Lucky Day. Chatted with an agent and they gave me a code for the free 2 year Samsung Care+.

Gonna drive to Best Buy now to see if I even like the tv lol

Yes. $100 came off first time I refreshed the cart on the Samsung phone

Note that I also tried going from a non-Samsung phone to a Samsung phone and have been intermittently refreshing the cart since yesterday without any success in getting the extra $100 off.

While that may be true to some, what price can you get a 77" G3 for? Certainly not $1899 or $1999 at the moment.

Based on burn-in tests by Rtings (harsh as they were) Samsung had QD-OLEDs had the worst performance, bettered by Sony, but LG had the best protection in long-term burn-in tests. I know I know it doesn't happen to anyone until it does.

The usual price is $2499.99 even if you access it through the mobile app. How do I access to get $1999.99 It's the same price if you go into the Samsung Shop app.
