I personally love LG and Dolby vision, but I refuse to pay more for inferior tech, so I'll try this Samsung out. A lot of people say hdr 10 and dv are not distinguishable.

Also worth notating, this is a gen 2 qd oled panel. Same as the s95c meaning this panel easily outperforms the LG C2 in brightness and colors. I guess the price is lower cause they don't have to pay DV licensing fees.. I wonder how much those are per set?

UPDATE: I CANCELLED MY ORDER!
I went to bestbuy again for the third time in the past 3 days and decided to go with the LG G3. Color accuracy is just better with LG IMO and I don't want to spend hours tinkering and calibrating the Samsung display which may be better, but just isn't dialed in out of the box. Also, I don't think I can live w/out DV... I saw a few comparisons and we are talking about 12 bit color depth vs 10 bit. Their is a difference.

I couldn't get the price any lower then 1,999.99 but for $200 more then the LG B3...it seemed like the right thing to do.

I bought the LG B3 and found the colors to be very washed out, but more importantly that it was VERY dim. Everyone says that the Samsung is much brighter, has a better viewing experience from the side and does better at not reflecting light...here's to hoping all of that is true.

I scheduled my deliver for November 29th just in case Costco ends up having this same price for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Thanks OP

This is true, but the colors are bad without proper calibration and I just don't have time to be tinkering with my TV everything I am watching something different. I prefer the out of the box colors of the LG.
Umm LG out of box colors are notoriously poor. Not tying to dissuade you, but maybe G3 is better. I know G2 wasn't and neither is C3. However, calibrated, LG can be excellent as well.

How are you getting a cash back site to work if you're required to go through the app?
You don't need to go through the app to get the $1899 price. I refreshed the cart in my Samsung phone's web browser and got it.

As the OP of this thread you can trust I did my research and out of box colors are nearly calibrated on the LG G3. The s90c is the one that has over saturated colors

I wish I would have figured this out before I made my purchase through the app, but I discovered that Chrome would not work but the actual Samsung browser does seem to work.

Here is what I found with some experimentation:
Chrome: Didn't work on my S21 ultra, Tab S8+, or Windows 11 laptop
Samsung App: Worked on S21 ultra and Tab S8+
Samsung Browser: Worked on S21 ultra and Tab S8+

Ok, this has been a trip to get it done, but I finally purchased it for $1899 WITH the 2 free years of Samsung Care +.

On my phone, I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8. That helped get the lucky day discount.

Another problem is that the Samsung app is just plain broken and I couldn't select the S90C 77'' and it kept defaulting to the S95C. What I did to fix it is trial and error. I searched for the S90C 77'', found it, opened it and clicked on buy, then I added the 55'' to the cart and in the cart there is a "Recent Searches" section with a hyperlink to add to cart directly. The 77'' was listed there so I added to the cart and removed the 55''. Price was $2500 at that point. Refreshing the cart triggered the lucky discount automatically every single time to $2300 and change. I went to EPP, opened Samsung from there, redirected to the app and the total cost changed to $1899.

Now for the two years of Samsung Care +... I tried to use my PC to chat and all the cart links they sent couldn't open on the app. What ended up working was starting the conversation with the rep from the App itself. They created a cart, I clicked on it and it showed the free two years, then I went back to my own cart and it carried over. I needed it in my own cart to get more cashback through EPP.

Last but not least, Samsung allows to split the payment with two Credit Cards. Chase has an ongoing offer to get 20% back in Samsung.com capped at $51. Using two cards where the offer is available sweetens the deal, but YMMV, not sure if the Chase offer is targeted.
Did your cashback end up posting for Samsung EPP?

If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.

It may look better to you out of the box, but if you think it is perfectly calibrated, that would not be true. Each set is different and LG does not individually calibrate all settings on each one.

This or the 77" B3 deal
I bought the b3 77. Returning it to get the s90c 77. It's basically a s95c panel at half price

The OP was someone else weeks ago. This deal was posted at least twice before. Above all else, finding a deal, does not make an expert to trust about the product. Spending $1000 MORE because you think LG is calibrated is well....

I'd only buy this if you can pick it up. I waited for months last time this deal came around to get direct from Samsung and eventually cancelled my order after hours on the phone with customer service who kept promising dates that would just go by. I wasn't the only one experiencing those issues either.

Imagine buying a TV with a red tint and being excited you saved 50% but everything looks red... Just look up color issues with s90c..almost every professional forum has something bad to say. Most people can't even fix it after calibration

Wrong! They only say that specific images with pure reds are slightly more saturated. It's does NOT have a red tint. Don't spread LIES.

Furthermore, these "professional" reviews all have something negative about every - single - tv.

Above all else, unless side by side, and inspecting pictures, these professionals won't notice it either in the everyday viewing. But spend $1000 more and support the company that took advantage for so many years with OLEDS.

Every company does it at one point or another, including Samsung. However, in any given moment, whichever is the offending company, I look elsewhere.

Have fun with your garbage os and HDR 10 bit vs 12bit Dolby vision. Luckily drinks will be on you with all the money you save 😲💰
