Product Name: | Razer Blade 17 17.3" Overview |
Product Description: | Level up to pro-grade gaming experiences and content creation with the 17.3" Razer Blade 17 Gaming Laptop from Razer, which packs a ton of performance into a portable design. It's driven by a powerful 12th generation Intel Core i7 14-core processor that features six Performance cores with a 4.8 GHz Turbo Boost Max 3.0 speed to run demanding games and applications while the Efficiency cores handle background tasks. Game levels, media clips, and applications load at lightning speeds from the 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive while the 16GB of DDR5 memory helps to deliver smooth multitasking with large video project files. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Razer Blade 17 is its 1920 x 1080, 360 Hz display, which is backed by dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics to deliver stunningly smooth graphics and high-frame rates in addition to advanced features such as real-time ray tracing and artificial intelligence. You can customize your computing experience to fit your mood, game, and style by customizing the keyboard's Razer Chroma RGB lighting effects and syncing them with compatible peripherals. |

You should've seen it again coz that was the 14" model.
Full HD on a 17 inch 🤦 is a hard sell
I guess the razer tax is still alive and well

This is one of the best performing RTX 3070 Ti laptops, esp in the 17" category, while also being among the quieter and cooler ones.

The review model above is with the 240Hz QHD display, but apart from that everything is the same as on this model.

Have they taken care of these design flaws yet?

Once you get to the larger screen sizes with larger chassis, it's not as common to get throttling issues. I'd probably think a 17" laptop has poor design issues if it can't dissipate enough heat to throttle from normal usage.

It's only a tax if you can't appreciate things like the compact size, unibody construction, killer speakers, and other niceties. The legion this year is pared back with plastic body, no fingerprint scanner, worse camera, cheap plastic trackpad, and a bunch of other corner cutting. If it's all about gaming specs for the money, some people are happy carrying around a desktop PC in a cardboard case.
I daily drive a MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max so I believe I do.
The legion 7i is definitely not plastic, and is quite compact. You might think about the legion 5 pro?
