I had talked myself into the Big Joe if I was going to be spending the money on the Classic III. Well at this price I guess I'm pulling the trigger.

I spent 45 minutes reading about this as I'm new to smokers.. then spent about 30 minutes more trying to get approved for prime card but application didn't go through… by the time I decided to buy it anyway, I saw the price increase.. luckily it was already in my cart and was able to place the order with the discounted price and for some reason I still got the $200 credit card offer (paid with another card though as the card not approved yet)

I got in on the deal, but after reading online, I'm thinking maybe the Weber Summit Kamado is a better all-arounder
Any ideas whether I should keep this versus a few hundred dollars more for the Weber?.

The weight difference is a huge factor as I'd be moving it back and forth from storage when I want to cook.

Did hours upon hours of research for a ceramic grill and considered that one, BGE, and KJ. KJ won hands down. If I didn't buy a Big Joe series 1 for less than $800 with accessories to make it somewhat similar to a series 3, I would have snatched this up in an instant.

The only thing you may want to do in the future is upgrade size to a Big Joe, but for now, you will absolutely love this amazing grill.

I have the Kamado cover and honestly the grill is made so well I never cover it. My grill is 4 years old. The other issue is it stays hot so long I can't cover it until the next morning typically anyway
