I was just glad to see the regular Quaker Oats weren't recalled so I can make my hubby some oatmeal cookies!
There's a mennonite bakery where my Dad used to shop. They had the best 'Cowboy Cookies". I found the recipe online [swiss-pantry.com], so I just make them myself (1/4 of a recipe, but add 1 teaspoon of vanilla) and on parchment paper.
Tip: if using cheap butter, then refrigerate the cookies on the pan before baking. Aldi butter always spreads too much for me. I also use mini chocolate chips now too, more chocolate taste.

I seen some fb posts this year saying their cookies spread more than normal bc the butter brands were using more water in their product.

1/4 recipe makes between 12 and 14 cookies for me.

In Redesign, click on the dropdown arrow next to a user name and then select "Give Thanks". Another box will pop up if you want to leave a message with the rep. I've attached a couple screenshots below. Hope this helps
