There was a Marco's Pizza next door to a CVS that I used to shop at. I don't know about the rest of the country but there aren't a lot of Marco's where I live and I liked it more than Domino's and Pizza Hut. One night they packed up and were gone the next morning. It was the weirdest thing. I went into CVS and asked them what happened to the pizza place and they went what pizza place lol. It was like it was never there.

It's time for my commercial list for this week. I just have 3. The Domino's commercials are beyond annoying. I was going to get a pizza for the game tonight but I decided not to go because of how much I hate their commercials. The second one is the commercial for Wicked. All I can is that it's wicked although I can understand how some people may like it. My third choice is the whoo commercial by Amazon. I can't stand it but it's another one that some people may like. The music isn't bad but they have the volume turned up way too much on whoo. If it was a littler lower the commercial might be ok. I guess the idea is to get your attention but I have the tv on as background and Amazon has already made their point that they're having a sale. I'm like when isn't Amazon having a sale. It's not a whoo moment. I'll reserve whoo for something good like a sale at Penney's (old joke from the movie Airplane).

That's rough.

We went to our vet the first time 33 years ago. He has expanded over the years, and he only goes into the office once a week when they aren't traveling. There are about 4-5 more vets in the office.

I'm hoping they keep the office together whenever he officially gives up the business, either under one of the additional vets or with these vets banding together (which might be realistic, as all the vets graduated from the same vet school).

I've said before I am able to ignore most commercials, but this past week the commercials driving me nuts are the political ones where the lies are SO obvious. I won't mention them by name. I am looking forward to no longer having them around in a week.

It's not looking good for the Dodgers. I think I cursed them when I started watching the Series. I agree 100% on the political commercials. I haven't been following the election and I don't care who wins. I just don't want to hear the bs.

Was @ CVS and Wags today, and both were 40%. Neither store had an abundance of Halloween candy. Asked a East Coast buddy about what % she was seeing - she was at a lovely 33%. When I was getting either Eucerin and/or Oral Care @ CVS this week, and was needing $1 fillers - the .99 candies became my go-to.

It didn't feel like stores had a massive amount of Halloween-motif candies this year.

I have to go back to CVS in a few minutes. I don't want to deal with the Target parking lot so maybe I'll walk over there from CVS. It's not that far of a walk but if they still have some candy left it'll be a tough walk back carrying an extra 50 lbs of Skittles.

So who's going to win tomorrow? I'm thinking Trump. I'm in Los Angeles which should be heavily for Harris but all I see are Trump signs and parades on weekends (I got stuck in one yesterday). People here are much more enthusiastic about Trump. In the old days that meant a higher turnout at the polls for Trump voters but these days I have no idea what it means if anything. I'm amazed that Trump is still in the race with how bad his debate performance was. I haven't been following the race and I don't really care who wins. I have no plans on voting but I will watch the election results tomorrow night.

I woke up this morning to wind gusts of 60 to 80 mph. It knocked over a light pole that's blocking a driveway. Trees are down. It took the concrete tables by the pool and threw them against the fence. The giant umbrellas broke off and they're also against the fence. I lost the internet for a little bit but it's back up for now. I'm worried about the power going out and I'm in an extremely high risk fire area. I'm sure that they'll be a fire somewhere. If it's not from a fallen power line, some idiot will set one. A few years ago we had a massive fire and a couple of days after it was over the guy in front of me on the the freeway threw his cigarette out the window. People just don't care or they do it on purpose. I wanted to get the guy's license number and report him to the police but I didn't get a good look. It was still windy and there was a lot of brush by the freeway so it could've started another fire.
