I know it does not feel right. Evidently, there is a clock that starts when the order dings into the store and they have a super limited period of time to complete it in order to keep to corporate's requirements. I have been chatting with an employee before when they tell me they have to get it done with 'x' period of time and I'm welcome to walk around the store with them while they pick it up. I don't remember what 'x' is.
x is 40 minutes.

I read that Wags went to 80% off on candy. My CVS is still at 30%. I didn't go yesterday so knowing my luck they probably went to 75% off and it's all gone now.

Sorry, I misunderstood what people are saying about how Coupon24 works.

Since CVS and P&G got in bed with this universal coupon thing, the only paper coupons that work at CVS are the P&G ones (from what's been reported). A little suspect, don't you think...I have to wonder how a Centrum coupon that I had to sign up for on the Centrum website can come up as invalid at CVS. Is Centrum aware of all of the sales they're losing because of CVS's refusal to accept a perfectly valid coupon? I needed vitamins and I ended up buying Vitafusion instead of Centrum because of the great digital coupons for Vitafusion even though Centrum was my first choice. I haven't tried the Vitafusion vitamins yet but if I like them I'll be a Vitafusion buyer from now on. It's a terrible thing to have valid coupons not work at the register at CVS.
I was able to use Clairol ip from c.com, Eucerin mq's found in cvs store, and Colgate ip's from their website. That's all I tried.

Is Kylie cosmetics still a thing? I didn't know that CVS carried it. I saw some lipstick at 75% off ($35 marked down to $8.75). I'm not a big Kardashian/Jenner fan but I wouldn't be opposed to buying it if it was a quality product. I also saw some Lottie cosmetics on clearance but I don't know anything about the brand.

I finally got some super cheap baby wipes from Vons this morning. I already used my $5 off $5 J4U so I had to pay the sale price of $1 ea. Still a great deal. I was going to get Huggies wipes but I don't like how they come out of the package. It's hard to get just one without ripping it.

I read that CVS is giving us double coupons. That would make the Tide deal $6 for the 84oz Tide, 25 ct Tide pods, and Dawn powerwash. I'm really glad that the CVS IT dept is on the job keeping couponing safe for all of us.

It seems like every time that CVS tries to fix a problem that doesn't exist, they make it 10x worse. Now I've got to use my phone if I want to shop at CVS. I have a hard time with phones. I have bad eyesight and neuropathy in my hands. I can use a laptop but I can't really use a phone other than a landline. I guess no more CVS for me. Today starts the process of spending my EB's. At this point, I don't care what I get. I just want out and hopefully I will be in an hour or two. I've been thru a lot with CVS. The switch to digital has been very hard on me since I don't print IP's or do Ibotta. I've found a way to keep it going but Coupon24 is one obstacle too many. I love fast food but when everything went to app coupons I stopped going. I'll survive without CVS.
I saw a post that CVS went to 75% off on Sunday, but it didn't mention if that included food or candy.

It was still 30% today. They haven't sold any candy off of the table since they started the Christmas clearance. The best thing they have is Hershey's Kisses, which isn't saying much. Vons started their Christmas clearance at 50% and went to75% off on Sunday. Everything was gone by that night. Maybe Vons should buy CVS and show them how it's done. I think that we'd all be a lot happier if they did.

Food is at 50%, everything else 75%.

I found Grove Co hand soap, all three flavors down to 44 cents from $4.49 unmarked.

The discount stores around here (RI) have been selling cans of Muir Glen tomatoes for deep discounts (1.49 for the 14.5 oz and 2.49 for the 28 oz). Fetch will give points for those. This is the kind of thing that is likely to show up at the recently saved from extinction Big Lots, Grocery Outlet, Job Lots and similar stores, so it's a good idea to keep eyes peeled in case you need to stock up on organic tomatoes. This is a decent product. They have a "Support our firefighters" logo on them and are generally best by in 2025, but they should be good for another year or two.

I think most of the Xmas clearance is gone now. I hope y'all got some decent deals.

I found a basically untouched, untagged end cap of Hallmark ornaments yesterday (Disney, Harry Potter, etc....) for 90% off at Walmart and added 11 to my collection for like $8! That's my best deal of the year!

Some of you know, but I haven't actively shopped at CVS for several months now, only going in one or two times a month to pick up something we need. Today I walked around a store that actually stays up to date on things and woah, almost everything was a full $1 or more higher than I remember.

I know ecbs and sales can make CVS worth doing, but it was quite a shock.

Only a dollar? I wish that I could say that. A 12-pack of Coke is now $1000 but at least it's buy two and get the third one for free...

I think Coke has been $9.99 a 12 pack, with the B2G1 offer for quite awhile at CVS.

I've moved to buying soda at Dollar General. They have a $5/$25 in their app for Saturdays, and then $5/$25 coupons sometimes print at the bottom of their receipts for the following Saturdays. They have had some awesome deals on Coke. Some weeks they have had 3 12 packs for $13. Add that to $12 more and I'm paying a little over $21 with tax, or during those weeks I could get 6 12 packs for a little over $22 with tax.

I've been doing Pepsi at Vons. I have a $6.99 J4U price and Vons runs b2g2free and b2g3free sales. They had a b2g2free sale last week and there's one this week. It comes out to $3.50 for each 12-pack. Unfortunately, the Pepsi/Lays coupon no longer works on it. They killed it at the end of December. Sometimes I'll get a 5/5 to go with it. The J4U price is good all month and I'll usually have it on one or two cards. The best I can do on Coke is $8.99 so I go with Pepsi. I'm not a pro like you guys are at Vons but I do ok on soda.

I guess that nobody watches Yellowjackets lol...

I saw the new documentary about Charles Manson on Netflix and I came up with a theory that's a little different from everything else that's out there if anybody wants to hear it. I was watching Mindhunter last night and they interviewed Tex Watson (season 2, episode 5) and he said that the Tate house wasn't the only place they were going that night. That blew my mind. Where else were they going? I researched it and Watson really did say that.

I started my day off on a negative note thanks to Vons. I went to Vons last night and they were out to almost everything I wanted and I had to spend more than I planned. I went early this morning to get bagels and some frozen food that's in new ad. The bagels were burned as usual and frozen food had ice all over it. So typical for my Vons. Everything is out of stock, all of the frozen food has freezer burn, and the bagels taste awful because the baker really sucks. The Vons 5 miles away from me always has great bagels and their freezer works perfectly. 10 miles is too far for me to walk and if I go by bus the trip will take me almost 3 hours. Plus it's raining today. My Vons is right across the street. It sucks that my Vons is so poorly managed. All of the young guys there have hair down to their waist and the store manager is in his 60's and he has long hair. No hair nets on any of them and they're handling everybody's food. I feel like I'm in Haight Ashbury in the 60's when I go in there. One guy looks like Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. I expect him to pull out his flute and start playing Locomotive Breath. I have nothing against long hair. I used to have long hair myself. Most people my age did but it's totally unprofessional to be working at a grocery store with wild hair down to the middle of your back. Some of the older guys look like Charles Manson. Corporate comes into the store all of the time. I wonder how the SM gets away with doing such a poor job. This is a huge store and it's always really busy. Customers buy the bagels and frozen food but it's not an acceptable quality level especially at the outrageous prices they charge.
