No. This machine is about as proprietary as it gets.

Unless you need Intel architecture for whatever reason, I would spend another $40-50 to get a Ryzen 5 mini PC that has 50%+ more processing power, twice the amount of RAM and SSD capacity, and only uses a quarter of the power and space. Various sellers on Amazon have them for around $200 after clipping an available coupon. Can't post links here as moderators take them down for violating third party seller restrictions.

How many sata ports? Room and power for additional 3.5" drives?

Bought this a few deals ago. Good little machine. I got a really cheap Tesla P4 card and got the enterprise drivers so it will output the gpu through the onboard hdmi. Fun little project. Kinda a nightmare to cool if you plan to put a low profile gpu in it, but you can take the cd tray out, install some mesh, and generate some decent flow. Overall it's pretty great for things that you don't want on your main pc (Linux, docker, retroarch, camera server, etc...) or it could be a decently capable office machine on the cheap.

The ebay page says 300W, so it should even have enough power to take a discrete GPU. Not sure about ports/space.

VIP outlet has the uw94 variant refurbished for $140 on eBay and their own site sometimes. As far as I can tell the specs are the same.
I tested mine with Cinebench R20 for hours and it runs without thermal throttling with fan that came with it.
There is space to add a 3.5 in and a 2.5in drive. There is only one free sata power connector though. You'll need to get another special cable that connects to the motherboard to have more SATA power connectors. There are three SATA ports with one being used by the DVD burner. You'll need to supply your own sata data cables.
The m.2 slot supports a m.2 data drive if you replace the nvme drive. Mine came with a wd sn530 nvme drive which isn't that much faster than a SATA SSD.

I noticed in this listing the condition is listed as used. The same seller, Acer certified refurbished, has other items which list the condition as certified refurbished.

Got a link to one? Looking for something for my mother and thought this would fit the bill, I'd happily spend a few bucks more for much better performance

There are no extra power cables to power a discrete GPU (nor is there any room in this extremely small case.) Unless you wanna spend the next 100 years trying to find a different PSU that will fit this case, I'd stick with a low profile card that can receive all of its power through the PCIE port.

I have this PC - been running great for the last couple of months. Was considering adding an M.2 drive - does it have space for an additional nvme to the 256GB drive that's already included?

The current 256GB drive is a WD PC SN530 NVMe SSD
from Western Digital - it's supposed to have a sequential read speed of 2,277 MB/s and Write of around 800 MB/s. But the speeds I am getting reported under CrystalDiskMark is around 900 MB/s read and 730 MB/s write. Anyone else with this PC, can you test your disk speeds and report results for CrystalDiskMark? Thanks!

Add another stick of 8GB or more ram and you have a solid Plex server

Not sure if you found them, but to start, go to Amazon and look up Beelink. There's also Minisforum and Geekom for more options. I think currently, Ryzen's APU and mobile cpus are some of the best available from what I've read. I'm going with a Beelink Intel N100 simply because of a Plex server and would have gone Ryzen if I was using the machine for general use.

Actually just bought a P4 with fan for cheap today on eBay. What guide did you use to get it running on your machine?
