You need the Amex Offer on your Amex card.
It's listed at price $439.99. You can get a price match to $249.99 by chatting with the CS. And combining with Amex Offer 200 off 40. The final price will be 249.99+tax-40.
Yeah, it hear you need the EPP and not EDU. Maybe it's a pricing error through EPP since the site isn't working right now, but that could be due to traffic.
Not sure you will get both Chase and other Cashback because they both require Samsung to verify purchase. Last time I did that, cashback from R wasn't earned.
Not sure about some PC's but Mac's TB4 port will not run this at 2000 MB/s speed. Just @ 1000.
Intel chipsets support full backward compatibility on Thunderbolt and USB4 since 10th gen / Z590. I believe AMD incorporated such with X570 onwards.
Apple should be embarrassed for not enabling full TB4 backwards compatibility...but then they did have the gall to stick 2.0 USB-C ports on most of their 2023 iphones. They're shameless.

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on this, but all my Chase redemptions have never required a click-through to the destination (behaves like AmEx), so I think they'll stack as usual. Chase is satisfied by seeing a merchant charge item from Samsung, and doesn't need a click-through record.

I actually don't think this is confirmed as to 2x2 specifically, though I wish it were mandated. You'll find motherboards including both types of ports lately, though.
Meantime: yeah, of COURSE Apple's egomaniacal refusal to open up is their M.O.: best to keep mark-up$ at Apple Stores high, at the monotheistic altar of the "Genius Bar."
Dell has reduced the price of this drive to $249.99, you no longer have to speak to customer support to price match. I'm not sure about the status of the stackable credit card offers.

Gen2x2 will also run at its full speed if connected to a USB Gen2x2 port or a Thunderbolt4 port. TB3 ports will run at the lower Gen2x1 speed.
