At first I thought this was the same laptop that was available at Costco, with the crappy 250 nit screen, then I saw that this version is actually a Ryzen 7 and has a 300 nit screen, and compared to the Costco model this has a larger battery.

I also wanted to add that one review on the product page complains the display is only 60 hz. I believe that is user error (not setting the display at the higher rate), because when configuring a Victus 16" laptop, there are no low-Hz screen options (they start at 144hz, and the 300-nit display is 165hz): https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/Con...a%20silve
Also, if you want to spend just a little bit more on essentially the same exact machine but with an extra USB-C port (and both being 10 gpbs) slightly better speakers, slightly worse battery life, and 4-zone backlight keyboard - the Omen version is available for $1099.99 https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...g-laptop-1
(Note that it's actually slightly thicker, but probably has a little better cooling and overall build quality).
Also, look at the Q&A Section, HP confirmed 144hz refresh rate:

Anyway, rather than guessing, let me give you more definitive answer. HP is selling this laptop in Newegg as well, at a lower price of $999.99 and there, they have clearly mentioned this to have 60 Hz Panel. Check it out.

I knew this for a long time because a lot of folks confirmed that in some YouTube reviews and in reddit.
