Isn't $30 worth the upgrade to the 4070 or is there not much a difference in performance?

For video editing purposes, assuming all other specs are the same and also same price, should be better to get:
13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX - GeForce RTX 4060
or
13th Gen Intel Core i7 13700HX - GeForce RTX 4070

TIA

I'd go with the i9 for more cpu power.

Can you let me know why will you go with that option of better CPU over GPU for video editing?

Care to provide more details why the 4070 will be a better option?

My understanding is that a better GPU will decrease the rendering time when exporting the video and a better CPU will make my work at my Video editor smoother when creating the project which is where I spend most of my time.

depends on what kind of video, 8k footage? I feel that the 4060 is sufficient.

GPU: Laptop 4070 > 4060 by ~ 17%
CPU: i9 - 13900HX > i7 - 13700HX by ~6%.

Source: userbenchmark.com, all under the conditions that it uses all the same components/parts except for the comparing CPU or GPU.

I'd preferably choose this laptop, because of a solid balance between the GPU, CPU and other parts, whereas the other one, CPU out balances the GPU by a lot.

Please make your own thoughtful decision, as I am not a professional/expert in computer parts.

Bugger. This is better than the B&H Photo deal (4060 vs 4070 here), but same price, but I'm nowhere near a Microcenter... Guess I'll wait a little longer.
