Seems like a decent deal; only con is the single negative review [amazon.com] but the price is simply too low for this cheap basterd to resist.

I'm going to have to buy 2 though to keep two of my monitors the same height. I already have about a 2 inch lower height difference for my extra monitors on the right (Have another 27 inch in Portrait Mode on the left) so these relatively low height stands (1.7 inch height) should be ideal for me.

A nice bonus is having the option of easily attaching laptops and smartphones to my displays as well. All that crap aside, I'm in for 2; thanks OP.

I'm confused how this is powered and how it connects to the host laptop.

I see there is a hard-wired USB-C cable. Where does that connect to -- some sort of USB-C power adapter? Then the "PD" port on the back -- is that the host connection to the laptop that feeds all the USB and video ports on the dock?

Indeed, no word on Amazon and when they hide this info, it's always 30Hz.

That's disappointing to hear as Rosewill has been a decent and acceptable brand for me. Not top tier for sure but on par with Monoprice at least.

I'm just buying this for the stand and being able to easily charge and have access to USB power ports. Having the ability to connect a laptop or smartphone to a display is a nice but probably rarely used bonus for me.

I'm assuming direct I/O communication is only between a connected laptop via the stand's PD Port correct? Is there a USB out port to connect the stand to conventional PCs to get access to the microsd and USB ports on the front? (That's a lot of "to" laugh out loud)

Other way around. The captive cable connects to the laptop and the PD (power delivery) port would be connected to the laptop's USB-C charger.

For others, the captive cable isn't shown in any of the amazon photos, but is shown to be on the bottom in the rosewill site's photos.

For $15, it's a decent buy for a hub and laptop/monitor stand.👌

Thanks. That's confusing! You'd think a USB-C port labeled "PD" would be an OUTPUT port, not an INPUT port!

Will pass but thanks for the effort. Only one written review and it's not positive. If it serves your need, great, would love to hear people's experiences.

Ah, I get it now; you can indeed connect these stands via PCs to get access to the USB and microsd ports. These stands are going to be really useful/handy for me then, thanks for the info; it's appreciated. (Rep given)

Neat idea but something about a bunch of cables sticking out the front of the thing seems poorly thought out.

It's kinda funny that the "before and after" picture shows cables running behind the monitor, which actually looks slightly neater than the after, which is this thing with a bunch of cables dangling down in front, stealing your work space.
