Note: While the limit for apple gift cards is limited to 8 (for apple.com or for phone orders), you can use up to 20 GCs in store
1. So whether I buy 2 apple gift cards or 10, would you suggest adding each gift card to your apple account balance immediately or is this not necessary? I read you only do this if you bought a store gift card and have to be worried about bots? Or you are fine here?
2. So the only time we will know how many $100 apple gift cards we can buy and if we get a $15 for each gift card will be right when the promotion starts right? So how do you make sure if say they will only allow a max of say 1 or 2 $15 target gift cards no matter if you purchase 1, 2 or 10 or 20 $100 apple gift cards? For people who does not have a target red card... I do not have this... then there is zero point of buying more than say two $100 apple gift cards if they only allow two $15 target gift cards max right whether you buy 2 or 20 of them?
3. When you say you going to do separate transactions... how many $100 apple gift cards are you planning to buy? If they allow max 20, you will go for 20? For me, the only thing I will buy in the future is a new iphone or battery replacement. I have no need for any macbook or anything like that so it will be when I have issues with the current iphone, where I would then buy a new one. So for someone like me, you suggest probably just buy two $100 apple gift cards then? Or should I go and buy 10 of them if it allows me? But there is zero point of it's max 1 or 2 $15 target gift card right? Now... based on past history... would they give a $15 target gift card for every $100 apple gift card you buy? That seems way too good to be true since someone can buy 20 of them and now have $300 worth of target gift cards.
2) When the promo starts only. Spoke to target on the phone, she was definitely foreign and given customer service these days, people are being hired who aren't even trained, regardless I asked if I picked up higher amount then 100 dollar in a GC for instance like a 300 apple GC, she said you would get the 15 target GC for each 100 spent, dependent on the amount not specific for that 100 dollar apple GC. But we'll see when the time comes to be sure.
----As of right now, I am able to add a quantity of 5-6, after that it won't allow me for more, but maybe after you make the transaction you'll have to go back and do more. Target may make it account dependent, or even billing address dependent per their terms and policy, but I doubt they will enforce the billing address dependent, probably more on the account if anything. Can't know forsake until it starts.
----If they only allow a couple then and you don't want the target red card tied to your debit account, then you'll be limited to the 15 dollar target GC, however the main benefit of the red card is really to just get you an extra 5% off the bill, if you want to milk every dollar you can get, then I would say go for it regardless. If 5-10 bucks is whatever to you, then forget it. This is dependent on what they do with the sale goes live so I would just do the red card prior and not do it until after the sale starts.
3) If the deal is limited to the specific 100 apple GC, then im going to add as many as I can in each transaction while still getting a 15 target GC per 100 spent. If what the rep told me is true, then im just doing a few 500 apple GC for a laptop that's it.
----Only get the deal if you want an iPhone through APPLE with it being UNLOCKED, cause that money is tied to the apple GC. If you are going to do an upgrade through a carrier, then you can't use that money anyways. Options to get an iPhone is apple itself, and through other carriers and various deals. You can find plenty of deals on phones with a short period. of payment and then get it unlocked early.
----The deal does seem way good to be true, but then again, if you are just buying like 3 500 GC instead of 15x 100 GC then it seems reasonable to do so, you can't get nothing from apple for less than 100 bucks so target should allow more to be bought, people give more 100 bucks to family members for computer and electronics easily. Can't speak on past history as this would be the first time im trying this.

But if selling privately down the road, generally the black is the easiest to sell.
For trade ins, I don't think it matters?
