Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

you can pay off the phone early as long as you don't do trade-in
.
so let say you buy iPhone 14 plus $779. you buy with VZ, then pay it off. cancel the line within 3 days. you keep the phone that you pay $779 plus $500 GC. so total you pay $779 - $500 = $279
When u say cancel the line within 3 days, does that mean I need to be on an existing VZ plan? Or is this a "new line" that I would be cancelling?

my phone broke this week and I'm waiting for this deal to go live. I'm currently a happy visible customer paying $25/month. for a single line, I'm thinking it's going to work like this without a trade-in.
- single line base unlimited plan at vz is $60/month or $35/month more than visible
- order iphone 14 plus online
- pay $35 activation plus two months of service = $35+2*35 = $105
- head back to visible

so I'm going to lose about $105, probably closer to $150 once all fees are paid, of value of gift card. I can't cancel earlier because the phone is locked and I don't have a spare.

make sense? other ideas?

It says limit 3 per customer, is that Walmart customer or AT&T Customer? Can I do 3 to get 3 gift cards, then wife does 1 on her Walmart account for a 4th gift card to cover the 4 lines on our AT&T account?

I think you dont buy it on finance. You pay in full on the day you pick it up.]

Question: When I look on the website right now, there's only 128gb in stock for S23. Anyone have any idea if this is intentional and that it only applies to the 128gb versions and not 256gb?

PS - Am I the only one looking at samsung? lol

i am on older "new Verizon" unlimited plan. is there any tradein offer on 14/15 via walmart or verizon?
If you want to keep your plan, then no. I have the same plan and as far as I know if the deal involves deal credits then they'll make you change your plan to one of the new ones. So for this deal if you want to keep your old plan you can't do a trade-in, but you can still get the gift card. The only places you can upgrade your phone for any kind of deal anymore are Best Buy and Walmart, as long as it is either a deal that gives a lump sum off at the front (no monthly credit) or a gift card like this. All trade-ins and deals that are directly from Verizon will require you to change your plan, so don't even bother looking at their offers.

I've been looking for a deal on an iPhone 14 Plus to upgrade my MIL's old XR, and this is the best price I've seen by far even without being able to trade anything in.

Maybe you are right. I was able to tradein last year walmart deal. Wasn't as much as current plans but it was there. Maybe they have removed it completely now.

Is there any advantage to porting in a throw away number to ATT ?
Nope, these Walmart deals are not to lock you in for 36 months of billing credits. They are selling you the financing plan. You can pay it off the phone as soon as you can see the financing balance due by next bill cycle. Once paid off you can cancel the line or the account, request for ATT unlock via the ATT unlock portal or if Verizon wait 60 days from activation date. These Walmart deals work perfect for grandfathered ATT plans. Port in a disposable number if you don't plan to keep the line, but it is not a requirement to port in.

Yep. But, I'm not sure these "pay by Walmart gift card I just got for another phone" posts are going to work. The T&Cs say to purchase "on installment with Activation on qualifying AT&T unlimited plan" to get gift card, and that "Walmart Gift Offer valid upon activation of eligible phone with qualifying AT&T or Verizon payment plan."

So, it seems you sign up for installment payments, except that for Verizon at least, "[t]ax due at sale." Thus, you don't pay at the store (except any taxes), and instead pay off the phone with the carrier per the instructions for the earlier iPhone 13 deal. Am I missing something?

So we have to wait till the next bill cycle to pay off the phone correct?

You can not get the e-gift card deal without buying into the financing plans. This is where Walmart makes the commission for selling you the phone and giving it back to you via e-gift cards. There is no way to buy the phone by paying it in full. You have to finance it first and pay it off later.

Buying in-store, the choices are usually limited to the 128 gig versions, sometimes you might get lucky and they have received 256 or 512 versions, but do not count on it.

To get the higher capacity ones, you have to order online, Samsung or Apple.
