Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

Gone through the whole entire thread and no one has asked this question

What's Walmart's return policy on an activated phone after terminating service with ATT/VZ?
Assuming I do this online and go with VZ and try to get a S23, terminate service in 3d after activating to waive most fees/charges and then returning the phone if the GC doesn't come. I know carriers give us the option to pay off the device or return it, but what's the exact policy for Walmart?

How do u do the down payment on the next device. I don't have a Vz account n thinking of opening one just for this deal? Do you suggest me to open in store on day of deal or before?
If you want to use the Walmart e-gift card as a down payment on the next phone, yes you need to do it in store. Make sure you call ahead and and confirm the store you intend to go can process cell phone activations as many of the slower smaller stores no longer do activations.

Second, make sure your tell the cell phone kiosk person that you need each cell phone processed separately about 30 minutes apart to allow you to receive the e-gift cards via email. After the first phone is processed and the taxes and down payment rung up at the register, you should be receiving the e-gift card momentarily via email.

Once you receive it, have the cell phone kiosk person process the second phone and tell them you are putting down a $300 down payment for that one. Therefore at the register you will give the e-gift card code and PIN to redeem it and then pay for the taxes on your phone to close out that transaction and shortly after you will receive the e-gift card numbers for that second phone.

So if you're planning on getting three phones, all three plans will be set up under your own name? Is one person allowed to have more than one phone plan at Verizon active at the same time? Would it be cheaper or more efficient to get a family plan for the three phones instead if the goal is to cancel service within 3 days and wait for 60-day unlock on all three phones?
If you do not have an existing account, they run a credit check and open the account for you. The number of phones depends on whether you want them to be in the same account family plan. If you prefer each phone to have their own individual account and service plan, I am sure they can set that up too. But I bet a family plan would be cheaper fees for each line as it will be combined into one billing.

What I don't understand is the 3 day cancel. Many here say to cancel within 3 days. Yes you can cancel within 3 days if you did it at the store because you would have received all 3 e-gift cards via email already. However there is no way to pay off the phones within 3 days. Maybe call customer service to get the account number and go to a Verizon store to pay the balance off or pay over the phone the next day?

Therefore the ones who are cancelling within 3 days to save on activation fees and a prorated service bill are maybe just waiting for a collections bill to pay off the phones when that bill comes. Verizon phones do Auto Unlock after 60 days but does the account need to be in good standing? Would a defaulted account cancel that unlock process and the phone's IMEI blacklisted?

I have never done a Verizon one, I have ATT. Last 5 years I have upgraded lines as well as added new lines to get this promo successfully. New lines I have cancelled 60 days later after I see the financing balance due amount after the first bill cycle and clicked through to pay it off online. Then I had to fill out the online form for the unlock request. Since I have had 60 days of service and the financing is paid off, every unlock request has been fulfilled successfully.

I am wondering the same. if you buy multiple phones do get to trade in towards each, and get an egift card for each? is there a limit to how many lines you can get?
I have done 2 online (only way to get 512 gig ones) and 3 at the store in 2021 and gotten all 5 e-gift cards.

The 3 at the store I staggered it so that I can apply the e-gift card from the first phone to the second phone and the second phone's e-gift card to the third phone. At the end I only had 1 e-gift card left to spend.

Thank you for finding this answer, it's a big thread lol.
Has anyone actually done hte egift card trick themselves? I just imagine with BF deals, the desk will be swamped with people and it might be tricky to get the person to wait 30 minutes and then process the other phones no?
I have done the e-gift card staggering trick successfully for 5 years. At the beginning they gave out physical Walmart gift cards that they activated at the register when you paid the taxes on the phone to check out. Back then we were told to wait 4 hours before using it so that the card number and balance gets updated throughout the system for redemption.

Now it is all electronic and via email. If your store is swamped they usually put you in an appointment calendar to come back later. This is where you want separate appointment times per phone to allow you time to receive the email with the card number and PIN for redemption.

Oh that sucks. I thought it was in store to on the 22nd. So if planning on canceling within 3 day window , won't really work if it takes more than 3 days to ship
Based on past experience, shipping is about 2 - 3 days depending on time of day your placed your order and how quick they process it at the fulfillment center and whether it made it out for the last FedEx pickup. I have received it on Friday and also on Saturday when ordering it on Wednesday.

Year after year I have yet to see any documentation from anyone here regarding paying off the financing balance due within 3 days so that one can cancel in 3 days without the account going into default.

Are they simply just waiting for the collections bill to come and then paying it off at that point?

Like every year, they have changed the phones to show out of stock in the morning and raised the price of the phones to the retail price before the Black Friday deal has gone live.

Seems iPhone 15 plus price has been increased to $829...plus all the extra cost if ordering on line, wondering if it is still worth it compared with red pocket deal......

Just checked Verizon website, it says "activation fee" may be waived if service is cancelled within 3-day of activation. If that is the case, it is ok if the phone arrives after 3 days? We can still cancel it after activation once receive it and try to pay off within three days of receipt to avoid the fees, though the gift card is uncertain. Am I wrong here?

I think people pay off the phone at the beginning.

Does this start today for Verizon or 24th? It's little confusing.
