Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

Same question I have. I want some type of guarantee that my IPhone 11 Pro Max will bring the $830 in credit on my Unlimited Welcome plan. Easy question but the answer is hard to find.
I can answer this: the trade in value is determined by Verizon if you go with Verizon plans.

Your iPhone 11 Pro Max for Verizon unlimited welcome plan upgrade will give you $200 credit over 36 months.

I just abandoned this Walmart deal and jumped to Verizon's own upgrade and trade in deal because I have an unlimited plus plan and I was able to get $830 credit for an android phone.

You can also do the trade in using Best Buy website where it gave me Verizon login verification and option to choose which phone to be traded in. Best Buy will give 5% instant off of any phone discount and $30 gift card too.

I didn't go with Best Buy upgrade to get the additional 5% and $30 gift card because Best Buy upgrade didn't give me the choice of the android phone I wanted to trade in even though the Best Buy website it's eligible for $830 credit. But Verizon.com upgrade was able to let me choose the phone.

This cant be right, how is walmart advertising $1000 trade-in value because no phone would give you a such trade-in value if you simply tried to find the trade-in value. There must be a way to make sure VWZ or ATT actually honors the walmart advertised value show below.
I have an iphone 13 pro with the trade-in value at VZW shows as $350. My question is how can I make sure VZW offers $1000 for this device since I made the purchase with Walmart?

I have done this deal 2 years in a row with success. We have 5 lines on our family plan and have been with AT&T for a long time. We are not in love with AT&T but no one in the plan seems to want to switch every couple of years. This PROMO is great for those with family plan that don't plan on switching.

Buy the phone you want from Walmart. Make sure you activate the device. Then swap your data on to the new phone. Once everything is there, wipe the old phone.

IMPORTANT! Bring the phone to a Corporate AT&T store and do the trade in. Tell them you just signed up for 36 months and bought a qualifying phone and it has a trade in offer. MAKE NO MENTION OF WALMART.

They will answer the questions and check the phone out. Get a printed receipt. No email. The email doesn't show any information. If the printer they sent the receipt to is out of paper, ask for a screen print or they give you a receipt. Following this will give you peace of mind and save you from any hassle down the line.

From this point on, the responsibility of the phone is with AT&T. AVOID ANY TEMPTATION TO MAIL THE PHONE IN. If the person at the store says you must mail in. Then say you spoke to George on the phone and it can be brought to the store as you don't have any means or capability to mail anything in.

The past 2 trade ins I did, I got the credit within the first month. Two of them to be exact. Once to catch up and the other for the current month. If they rip you off, then you have the receipt to complain to the FCC.

I know I took up time in the store and if it goes smoothly, I will buy a SBUX gift card for the person helping me. If you don't have a trade-in, then Swappa is your friend. My buddy did this and actually got a refurbished phone that had "already" been trade in at AT&T. Circle of life, what are the chances? Had to go to another Corporate Store with a more Senior Person to fix but it got done.
Great info, thanks! A few years ago, the contract phones from walmart actually came unlocked. Do you know if that is still the case?

you are trading into AT&T or Verizon, for AT&T you go to their website and enter code tradeoffer23 to get it over 36 bill credits.

You need to read the offering carefully. It only mentioned the eligible trade in phones for ATT, it never mentions any word for Verizon. It only mentions Verizon trade in value for Samsung S22 Ultra 5G or iPhone 12 Pro or other select devices. And there is no definition of other select devices. Basically this Walmart ads has no instructions or definitions of Verizon trade in. Best case go in a Walmart store and find out

If you are trading in by mail, take a photo and/or video of the phone in good condition and putting it into the mailer. I had them say an iphone 11 trade in didn't work. I believe it is because they were so far behind in testing the phone, it was completely dead. The trade in was purchased from Walmart a month before during one of their deals to clear inventory earlier this year. They switched my $800 in credits to $350.

I ended up messaging AT&T on twitter for an explanation and sent them copies of the receipt showing the phone purchased a month before and while they did not adjust the monthly credits, they gave me a $450 one time credit on the bill.

If I read the terms correctly, this promo offer works for the $75/month unlimited plan (the best one). Do you know if this is correct? If so, would it still work if the monthly cost was reduced due to having 5 lines + a signature program? (would essentially become $35/line).

Spent 2 hours on the phone (2x ATT and 2x WM) to finally get my order in. Now they canceled my order again citing "unusual activities"... WM doesn't want my business clearly...

Can the line be canceled with Verizon for the phone is paid off, and then just pay it off in the final bill? Bill? Or is it necessary to pay off before canceling? And can that be done online? I only saw a phone number with the order, no account number.
Others commented that you can just cancel and pay off the phone once the final bill is created (within a few days or just wait for it in the mail). You can cancel through chat or call them (800-922-0204) to do so.
