- Pay off installment plan from MyAtt app or at att.com. You can do this as soon as activated/device ships.
- Turn on iPhone and let it activate with the pushed AT&T eSim (should be automatic once connected to wifi). Make a phone call.

Edit: AT&T chat is closed on the weekend I called reseller support and they refused to cancel the line and said I had to wait 30 days. I had to port out to another carrier.- Call *PORT on the new iPhone to get a porting pin. You also need your wireless account number (displayed when you login to att.com).
- I had a great experience porting to usmobile.com for their 50 day free trial. Just sign up and fill out the details including port (AT&T Postpaid, account number, port pin). Transfer completed in minutes!

- We haven't found a way to unlock the iPhone 14/15 like we did the 13 because it has an eSIM assigned that gets activated on boot, and no physical SIM card. Also the phones are showing Verizon locked and not flex reseller policy. It will automatically unlock 60 days post activation however.

It's really weird because the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are eligible for the iPhone discount and the Pixel Pixel 4, 4 XL, 4a, 5, 5a, 6a, 6, 6 Pro are eligible for the S23 discount.
Is this a typo or do they really hate the 7 lol.
Buy it online, get the GC in 2 weeks, buy it at a store that does cell phone activations, you get the GC via email almost right away after paying the taxes at the register.
The trade-in requirements are ONLY if you want the $350 or $850 or $1000 billing credits which locks you in for 36 months and you must have an older or current unlimited data plan.
Also it really depends on who give out the trade in credit. If you do not want to use any Verizon line to do a device trade in, most trade in devices are valued at a very low price. The $1000, $830, $415 trade in credits requires either a new line or device upgrade to certain Verizon unlimited plan for those extra credit.
