Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

I want to order 2 phones online but worried about not receiving them within 3 days of tracking number being generated. Is there a way to cancel the service and pay off even before receiving the phones to avoid activation fee and first month bill?

Try to put the eSim back into the Ip14+ and submit as ATT customer to see if it go through. if it is still show the same error it mean the IMEI is not in the database.
Today I returned the phone and guess what? Bestbuy was not able to scan the IMeI and did not find the device as sold. They triple checked my receipt and had to do a manual override to accept the return. So I think these are probably the problem phones

So how many times have you changed carriers in 3 years?

Updated the wiki for the newbies.

At first I thought this deal is way too good to be true. 1000 + 300 Walmart GC for an iphone 15. Nahh
They've been running this seem very popular deal for the last few years.

Best Buy or Walmart?

That sucks as it means changing the sim back won't work

Just for kicks I put an unlock request in claiming not on ATT even though I know its on my account - I got the correct error "The device you want to unlock is active on another AT&T account. The account owner needs to remove the device from their account first. For assistance, call 800.331.0500." but I am not sure if transferring the sim out will allow me to unlock, if I get the same error it means Walmart did not scan the IMEI properly when selling the device. There are many threads that demonstrate Walmart's incompetence with mobile phones

Hi, after you completed iPhone purchase with Walmart, how did you go about the trade in with Verizon Company stores? Did you told the representative you purchased iPhone at Walmart and how they determine the value of the trade in?
Were you able to find the answer? I have same question

It would be a true SD if it's a free phone + 300 GC, otherwise this is semi slick after everything it"s about 700 for the i15 pro.

What happens if you return phone within 14 days to Walmart but you paid off your device to ATT?

That's definitely the issue. So Walmart/Bestbuy did not complete transfer the IMEI to ATT. Maybe the rep type in the wrong IMEI too

I am afraid this is bad news for you. ATT will not return the money that you paid off. Maybe you can try but I talk to multiple rep and one even try to reverse the payment but the system automatic process and state I own ATT the whole payment. So in the end I have no choice but to keep the pho.

A free phone that just came out a couple months ago and a $300 money maker. No., that would be a never gonna happen slick deal.

Has anyone who ordered the phone(s) online received a gift card? If so, how long did it take from activating the phone? Or does the clock start at shipment?

Any updates today? Trying to keep up with this thread is difficult. Slickdeals is filling up my inbox.

I am waiting until tomorrow to transfer back to IPhone so I dont have to go to store. Because I dont have an unlocked iPhone it makes this process a lot more difficult going between Android and IPhone
So, I tried to submit another unlock request today (my ATT account is now cancelled as I ported out my number). I still got the same error message: IMEI not found in ATT database. I chatted with ATT support, and the agent said they will put in a request to add the IMEI to the database, and also advised me to call their support at 800.331.0500. I'll wait before calling them, and just try again in day or two, to see if they actually added my IMEI.

If that doesn't work, I will be looking for a friend who has been with ATT for more than 60 days. If you are the one, PM me. I'll buy you a coffee. Smilie

Take it to apple store and most likely they will replace it with a new one right away. Locking policy will be same as the current but I am not sure how it will work out with network and credite
